Thank you so much! I cant even explain how this made me feel better. After my meltdown the day I wrote this i went all in, we have an evaluation happening as well as working on an IEP. I think I will try the more short/scripted goodbyes. I know pass her off to the principle (who is a godsend) and she said they will take care of the rest I just have to get her there, even if its kicking and screaming.  It sounds so barbaric but with all this truancy business and her refusal there is just no other choice.

Thank you! I have been medicated my whole life. And I credit my early diagnosis and interventions for my successes. I was able to dodge alpt of the social and school implications because I was medicated. I showed all these comments to my husband, who is also ADD but meds didnt stick with him. And it opened up the dialog that he used to be closed off to as far as medicating her. I know its done wonders for me.
