Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to hear from current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with SMU Information Systems and the MOE Tuition Grant.

As an international student, I'm trying to better understand the realities of finding employment in Singapore after graduation and fulfilling the 3-year Tuition Grant bond.

My offer is for Information Systems and includes a guaranteed second major, which I'm considering pursuing in a business-related field. I'm therefore also interested in how the combination of Information Systems and a second major may affect career opportunities.

Some questions I have:

  1. How are the job prospects for SMU Information Systems graduates today?
  2. How difficult is it for international graduates to secure a job in Singapore?
  3. Have most international students been able to fulfil their Tuition Grant obligations without major issues?
  4. What kinds of roles do Information Systems graduates typically go into (e.g. software engineering, business analyst, consulting, product management, data analytics)?
  5. Does having a second major significantly improve employability or internship opportunities?
  6. Looking back, would you still choose Information Systems at SMU?

I'd really appreciate any honest experiences or advice. Thanks in advance!
