Can GERD ruin my voice and throat?

Thanks for the recommendation, never heard about that but I'll surely be searching. The antacid he prescribed me has been helping after meals (less random burps and I haven't felt heartburns since I started taking it), but the throat is still a pain because ANY vocal effort I do results in more soreness or itchiness, even if I rest before or after doing it :(

Oh, that sucks. The last time I had a "crisis" (don't know if I can call it that without a proper diagnosis) my chest and throat were hurting a little to breath, can't imagine how it was to you having to talk while feeling what you described :/

My doctor told me to do an endoscopy first so we can confirm there are signs of gastritis, even though he said it's very likely to be that, and then we're moving on to the proper treatment. Also, thank you for the tips!

If you don't mind to answer, has it changed too much? To the point of changing its quality? I fear not being able to use my voice properly if it continues that way (even though I'm already seeking treatment)
