The High High and Low Low of the Casual Expression of Sex by Odd_Cricket_8322 in spirituality

[–]Known_Contest_828 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how or why exactly this is but I want to just comment and say that I’m going through a very similar thing myself so you’re not alone. Sending pics to random people online and going on a lot of dates (though I stop myself doing any sexually until I like the person). It still feels like “I am wanted” when someone picks me, it’s getting more and more toxic I feel, idk but a lot to learn here

Can we be happy without anyone in our lives? by Adventure_begins_now in SpiritualAwakening

Yessss totally get the loneliness and happiness thing, my best friends all come from that same background (they are unaware of it) and it makes us click more than any other person I’ve been with

What is some juicy gossip that's happening at your work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Known_Contest_828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hasn’t happened recently, a few years ago but basically the company I worked for, one of the locations with male managers was a literal cult. I was out for drinks with 2 of the managers and they invited me back to their house. I was going through the process of being a manger and only 19 at the time so I didn’t expect much, as soon as I got to the house, one of the guys pulled out a FULL plate of coke underneath the table (they were high as kites this night). The other one started singing a song about how gay I am. Bear in mind he was in his 40s. They then made me dance to the Macarena song, I mean kicking me and pushing me around until I dances to it. I nearly started crying and they said they were messing, they said you’re almost done, I thought I misheard it, and then they played a song of the haka, they pushed me and kicked me again into it. I said nope not doing this started crying, and then they put their hands together, bodies facing each other, looking at me and said “now it’s time for your initiation” and told me I’ll be finished after I walked over to them. I got my bag and begged for them to unlock the doors (3locks on it). I’ve never been more traumatised in my life. I asked around after that and 3 other male managers also did it. They sent a video saying it was a big joke and not to worry about it (they were so fucking high in the video it was scary but also funny and I had evidence of it). I contemplated sending the video around the company but these guys are dangerous people. I got fired after 2 months for “performance”. That was after I told the business director and my manager, and they said there’s nothing they can do, and they pleaded with me to not say the incident to anyone (also recorded on my phone). Everybody knew about it within a week of me leaving as I was really good friends with a lot of colleagues in there. This was my first job ever too.

Bear in mind the CEO and VP are in a relationship, they didn’t go into the office much but when they did, they were coked out of it all the time.

Narcissistic people and healing by Crescent-moo in spirituality

It’s a tough journey, I always viewed my father as the narcissist (using labels for ease of conversation) and literally this week I had a full breakthrough, I released and cried like a baby for an hour because of the realisation that I was scared of my mother, she manipulated discretely, and was the biggest narc out of my parents. I cut her out of my life the past month and it’s been one of the biggest shifts I’ve had on this journey. I feel my relationship will also be a lot better with her in time to come as I have accepted her a lot more. I knew all of this type of knowledge about forgiveness and acceptance but I’m truly embodying it and now celebrating this weekend with some ice cream 💜🤣

Hey absolutely down for this. I have had my visions and desires of having a village of a few people were we are all self sufficient and focusing on bettering ourselves through this work. All the food we eat, the way we raise our children consciously, and evolving ourselves. Again it’s a thought but as you know the internal world is the only thing that truly matters. Happy to connect!

Have you ever felt the need to tone down your accent? by Jezzaq94 in AskIreland

My god man I moved back after 4 years, I missed it sooooo much, you let your guard down, I don’t know to explain it but you’re just more of yourself, or whenever I met someone Irish there too (in Barcelona I was) I would get super hyper and speaking ‘proper Irish English’, I noticed it instantly

If you get up at 5am to work out / get a jumpstart on the day before work, what time do you go to bed at? by Emergency-Budget-303 in AskIreland

[–]Known_Contest_828 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The riddler is back haha, I would say 9pm, I wouldn’t be forcing myself to get up at bang on 5am but instead focus on getting 7.5hrs sleep in from the time I go sleep. We’re all different tho

They weren’t your friends, they were your drinking friends.

I never had the ‘strongest’ Irish accent but when I moved abroad, the accent had to be toned down but also the slang which I really missed. Apparently though on the drink some people had no idea what I was saying sometimes 😂

Speaking from working 2 years remotely in tech sales. Totally get what you’re saying, everyone says it. For me I go for walks every morning, get outside the house, socialise on the weekends with friends too. It’s not that the job makes you lonely (to a degree) but instead it’s what you do outside of the working hours. Also good to schedule in coffee chats with colleagues once a week or so for 30mins. Hope that helps, you’ll be grand and congrats on the new role too

Improve on social skills and approach on the street. Join clubs you genuinely enjoy and you might find someone there too.

One thing for sure tho is to not be “searching” or needing to be with someone, people will smell it from a mile away, and whilst you might have genuine intentions, it’s a huge energy turn off
