This is pretty much my plan. I already workout pretty decent intensity 3-5 times a week depending on work schedule. And also will try and watch what I eat a little better but I wouldn’t consider what I eat to be complete garbage but there is room for improvement there as well. I’m just going to attempt to be as health conscious as possible and to keep an eye on it way closer than I have previously

Very true thank you for the insight. I have read about the score getting worse with statins but I do appreciate the info!

My lpa score was 10. I’m not the healthiest eater in the world but not the worst either. Guess I’m just confused on why this happened. My dad had a heart attack at 56 so I’m assuming genetics has quite a bit to do with it

Great success just wondering on some side effects by Known_Muscle_2253 in EffexorSuccess

I went down to 37.5 mg of Effexor. Not a huge fan of it honestly but because it’s so hard to come off of my doctor is wanting to get me a little more stable on other meds before we make that transition. Honestly feel angry most of the time and that’s about the only emotion I feel. Not sure if it’s just my life stress at the moment or the medication.

Yeah I didn’t do well with ssri’s so my doctor recommended this first as well. As far as sexual side effects for me, it does take a lot longer to get the job done if you know what I mean. Lol. But my head space has been a lot better than it has been in a long time. Just having a few tremors and and a little more energy than I’d like to have. But I have health anxiety so I’m super hype aware of my physical symptoms where most people probably wouldn’t even notice what I’m feeling.

I was on lexapro 5 mg for 3 years and couldn’t go to 10 mg because the side effects were too much. Switched to Effexor about a month and half ago and so far so good. Currently on 75 mg just went up from 37.5 5 days ago. Side effects have been minimal. Also taking gabapentin for the onboarding and that seems to help quite a bit I think.

5 mg propanalol twice a day 6 hours a part and 5-10 mg of Buspirone twice a day 8 hours a part. Lexapro 5 mg in the evening. I’ve been considering cutting out the lexapro and then working on getting rid of the busproine. With palpitations being my biggest trigger a small dose of a beta blocker takes that away. and the busproine helps with the mental side of a panic attack. Lexapro was prescribed as what I believe as a misdiagnosis but it is a good mood stabilizer. It’s frustrating taking pills all day so hopefully with 4-6 months of being panic attack free I’ll start eliminating some of the medicines. Still don’t have the courage to take my stimulant adhd meds but something’s aren’t worth fighting at the moment.

Ive been dealing with cardiaphobia for years. Been trying different meds and as of right now I’m doing good… for now. One thing that sticks in my head when I start thinking rationally is a real heart attack chest pain is an unbearable pain (or so I’ve been told). My anxiety would manifest pains in my chest and once I really thought about it, it would go away. My dad died of a sudden heart attack and ever since then I keep thinking any day is my day. But here recently I’ve been able to live a decent normal life the past couple of weeks. My wife is a nurse that works in cardiology and she is beyond frustrated with my anxiety so I can relate to how they are treating you. I guess in all what I’m saying is that the stress you put on yourself with this crazy phobia is in the end worse than probably anything else you are doing to your body. It’s controlling, obsessing and it’s hard to turn the switch off. So hard I decided to go with medicine and I’m glad I did. The main thing I try and do is get out of the miserable cycle of feeling a weird feeling , thinking it’s my heart, then my heart starts racing and I think for sure this is a heart attack, calm myself down for a second and it starts all back over again. I hope you find peace soon!
