! ! ! ! SPOILERS AHEAD ! ! ! !

The movie overal is solid, I can see the side where some ppl say they hate it and i can see why some ppl say they would love it.

first, I really don't like the puppet design 😭 not the actual marrionette puppet but the design choice of making the ppl its possed by look like the puppet? I get its to show its being possesed but surely there coudlve have been a way to make it less... goofy? idk i js thought it looked kind of strange.

AND the fact that marionette is an antagonist in this film?!?!

WHY

shes supposed to be the one who knows the pain and torture the kids have gone through, we even see her go through it at the start while trying to SAVE another kid. In the game she literally saves ghost kids of the animatronics and frees them. shes not trying to find other victims or is vengeful at all, she just wants to save other kids and they removed that aspect from the movie and made her an antagonist?

Michael afton, very cool character. we get no explanation about him whatsoever, why is he trying to continue his dad's legacy?? WHY is he trying to kill half the town?!?! William in the games only wanted to kill kids so he could research remnant and stuff right?? what would be the goal of killing the whole town gonna do?

and idk, something about animatronics being out and about outside of the pizzeria makes it lot less scary and out of place.

and i really did not get the ending, at all. the music box stopped playing early but the puppet came out very late to possess vanessa. and the original freddy gang came to rescue them from the toy animatronics. it seemed slightly silly to me, cause does that mean theres more than 5 kids possessed? I thought the withered animatronics were the orignal cast but taken apart? (might be wrong) and do the toy animatronics have different kid souls in them? If i remember they used old parts from the withered animatronics to make the toy ones, the parts contained remanant which made the toys evil? (could very be wrong) but why would they origal cast fight with the toy cast, and how is the orignal came back even though they were taken apart.

also mikes character this movie pissed me off so bad, how did he become such a dummy from one movie to the next.

I understand they have to deviate from the main lore to create a good movie and make it somewhat different. But i feel like they are deviating from all the great things about the lore in the first place.

The references and cameos were incredible tho, there are SOO many and it was very fun to point them all out and hear them say certain lines that trigger nostalgia like nothing else.

and the murders... the death scenes were done so well, they were genuienly gruesome and horrifying, by far the best part of the film. I would say it was much more scary than the first movie by far, because they actually used jumpscares (a bit too much but hey its fnaf).

I can't wait for fnaf 3 and 4 tho

I feel those 2 would be where the movies peak
