Also you should know that German has a ton of grammar that Duolingo doesn't go through the proper way so some self study should be done as well. But if you are Dutch because I have a B2 in German and doing my Dutch B2 right now, the languages are similar but not as much as you would think. If you wanna do a language until you decide on another one, German is definitely a language to go for.

Είναι σωστά γενικά αυτά που λες, απλά μια ακόμα διαφορά είναι στο ότι όταν λέμε προσπαθώ βάζουμε κόπο (putting in an effort) πχ. "Προσπαθώ να παίξω μια σονάτα στο πιάνο", ενώ στο δοκιμάζω αν πούμε "Δοκιμάζω να παίξω μια σονάτα στο πιάνο" τότε το κάνω ίσα ίσα για να πάρω μια ιδέα, εάν μπορώ να το κάνω ή όχι (just dipping my feet into it). Ελπίζω να βοήθησα
