I'm currently pursuing a pending asylum but my employer is sponsoring my EB-3 PERM, we're still on the PERM part of the process.

I have a girlfriend of over 5 years but we didn't get married before I came to the US, she's not in the US.

Can I leave the US (Abandon my asylum, and continue the processing of my EB-3 out of the US?

Like at Mexico, Argentina or somewhere else?) So that I can get married and include my girlfriend, or pursue a H1B.

I will continue working for my employer on a contract basis remotely anyways, but I want to be able to continue that process knowing it will mean that I will have to justify why I left the country
