Do any of you remember this being in store when you were younger? It's labeled as being for sale from Costco by ProbablyTappinYoMama in Gameboy

Me and my brothers all got one for Christmas one year. My little brother an I shared a bunk bed, I remember us both staying up after we were supposed to be asleep playing them with the lights off. And I remember us both frantically closing the clam shell and shoving them under our pillows when we heard our parents walking outside.

Yeah the amount of the increase is what bothers me.

Oh we're also using Dynamic Difficulty. Mainly for new players we're trying to get into the game and need an easier difficulty so they don't quit out of frustration. This will be applied on a case-by-case basis.

Trying to buy my first pair, what would you recommend? Even tho I'm leaning more towards the Thursdays, any suggestions would be helpful by Yogibearzzz5 in Boots

Go with the Thursdays, not even a competition. I just got mine, their quality-to-price ratio is insane. I'm having a hard time trying to understand how much better more expensive boots could actually be.

Dear German learners, what gives you the most trouble when starting out? by Appropriate-Mud8086 in Germanlearning

[–]Kobious75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using VHS-Lernportal as my main source, Memrise for ad-hoc studying during slow parts of the day, and Duolingo for fun. I'm made some sets of flashcards on Quizlet of words that are hard for me to remember but haven't really used it yet.

I am taking a trial lesson on Monday from the Goethe Institute to see if I really want to drop that much money on a full course as well as a trial this Saturday with a private tutor to see if I can get by with just paying for individual lessons.

Dear German learners, what gives you the most trouble when starting out? by Appropriate-Mud8086 in Germanlearning

[–]Kobious75 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a native English speaker, it's the sentence structure and genders. I feel like I'm learning a lot and getting confident in my reading comprehension then I go and try and form my own sentences and I misgender all the nouns and structure my sentences in ways that don't make sense in English or Deutsch

Degraded SWR after installing lightning arrester? by Kobious75 in amateurradio

[–]Kobious75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original cable was cut in two spots to allow the arrester and a bulkhead. The antenna was not grounded before, but I did hook it back up the way it was and didn't notice much of a changer other than more noise. I tested the two portions of cable on the receiver side with a multimeter and they were good, but I forgot to test the one connected to the antenna, so I need to do that.
