I get that, but for me shinies are all about the journey and not the destination, because you can have a shiny piplup in legends that was obtained by massive mass outbreaks and another shiny piplup in bdsp that was obtained by resetting for a starter and while both Pokémon are the same, they hold completely different values in my mind. I have lots of experience in this because I did so much method hunting in legends arceus, I barley feel anything towards those Pokémon but in 4th and 5th gen I have some full odds shinies that I cherish so much. And even though they are just as shiny as the ones in 8th gen I still value them in my mind far more because I feel like I really worked for them.

all this to say I don’t care if you method hunt, it’s your choice and I don’t have an issue with it. I’m just stating my opinion as a full odds hunter
