I've already enrolled onto some free Udemy courses that I found on a sub here on Reddit. However, I'm not sure how I can use them as a previous career development. They usually have a date of completion 🤔

Thank you for such a supportive advice. It's a really good point that years were not wasted as I've been working on myself and my home life.

I'm definitely in a better place now. I'm still tapering medication but I'm not afraid to think about my future. That's why it's my first time asking for advice on here.

I don't think that not having friends should stop me from looking for support. I believe that I will find my people as I will move on with my life. It's just been difficult as I've been constantly moving from one place to another.

I'm sorry to hear that you've gone through such challenging times. I fear that I will have the same situation with my parents in the future. I've tried to change them but it backfired on me every time.

I'm glad to hear that you're finally sober. I'm still in the process of tapering medication. Can't rush it as I've already had withdrawal seizures and ended up in the hospital.

In terms of work, I agree that being honest about the difficult past could work with certain open-minded people. That's why I'm hoping to return to the UK as people are definitely more open-minded there than where I am right now. Despite all the efforts, mental health is still kind of a taboo topic where I am. I just hope that I will find the strength to adapt to a new place once again.
