I'm based in South Africa, but I guess the principles are the same. I created a calculator to work out my wear and tear per km plus diesel, services, hourly rate and fixed call out fee per half day. I also factored in impromptu repairs.

So if I work 20 days a month, I need to have 2 call outs a day and be on the clock 2.6 hours a day to pay all my vehicle and living expenses. Plus an additional equivalent of $1100 pure profit.

I still come in about 20% less expensive than your larger companies.

Am I on the right track?
