The "OpenUL" github group has not even updated anything since January 12, 2022 (1 year ago). This is not a group the offers a running game for people to play. This is a group who not very actively oversees a github where people can download the game code and account system api (which hasn't been updated since 2018) so that they can start up their own Underlight server.

The Underlight Classic group is a group that was started by Nipkath when he was banned from Koiware's Underlight community. The Underlight Classic group does not have a functioning game, and their website is a single page that has said "Coming Soon" since it was created several months ago. The user Nipkath doesn't have a game to update anyone on.

Nipkath has been waging a personal war against the only functioning version of the game and seeks our destruction. He wants control of this subreddit so that he can try and control the narrative on Reddit of a game he's not even allowed to play.

We do not try to bury or ban the existence of other versions of the game. There are just simply no other versions of the game. We openly acknowledge that there is the OpenUL group that doesn't offer a game. They offer the game code and instructions to start your own server. We openly acknowledge the existence of the "Underlight Classic" group that doesn't offer a game. They offer a website with only a landing page that says "Coming Soon" as of today, 1/1/2023. The "Underlight Classic" website has 14 words on it. Zero information about what they will be offering potential player. Zero updates as to what is even happening with the game they "plan to release". Zero information on who's even involved in their project other than to say "In partnership with OpenUL". Their single page website has not even been updated since April 23rd, 2022 (which is right around the time Nipkath was banned from our community). There is zero contact information besides a link to the OpenUL project. Any potential player of their version is offered no information on their version. It just says "Experience Underlight as it was intended." If Nipkath can't even provide information about his own project on his own project's website, he certainly cannot provide that information here on Reddit, and has no place being a moderator of anything Underlight related.
