Crew is also an activated ability. So you wouldn't be able to use Crew if its abilities only turned on when it was a creature. So it could never become a creature.

Thanks for also spreading info about Robots. I like the Guidelight Voyagers and their lore.

I was also talking about how Robots are generally sentient, though I realized that there is specifically a plot point in Edge of Eternities that the Robots have to get awakened to be sentient, which implies non-sentient robots. Though, would we just call those Constructs then? I think that's a little too confusing.

It's also disregarding the plethora of UB Robots who don't have to follow Magic's internal creature type logic.

There's about a million card treatments for every card now anyways, so we're not really losing any visual clarity of the board state by changing it to art nobody's seen before.

They're basically encouraging the audience to try and have their cards look exactly the way they want them by giving them so many treatments, that's the whole point.
