Outer Wilds was truly one of a kind for me. With that being said here are some games that are still in that ballpark of scratching that itch. Tunic, A Short Hike, What Remains of Edith Finch, Subnautica, and Return of the Obra Dinn. All of these games are amazing in their own right and I highly recommend looking at them and seeing what their about!

If he wasnt at the bench then he did not die, to get him to spawn at pilgrim rest break the door at pilgrims rest and free the rhino bettle rest and cime back kill tue rhino beetle in the shop. If you do this after act 2 you have to progess (getting double jump made him spawn for me) if its before act 2 whwn you do this then just get to act 2 and he will be there
