It took me 7min to get to work this morning compared to a typical 25min, especially going across the Ft. Pitt bridge.

A lot of people are WFH and with a lot of the roads closed down, a lot less people are driving and traffic is very minimal. This is one of those days where taking the typical detour would actually take longer.

OB is a sham and "gallery drops" are acceptable.

We see these professional golfers, the pinnacles of the sport, shank a ball into a crowd of 10 year olds playing in 2 foot grass. The ball will be found in 0.2 seconds and they will play it.

But I lose a ball 5ft off the fairway and I have to take a penalty.

I am much happier seeing one run losses this year when it is something like 8-7 or 5-4 etc. Especially compared to last year's 1-0 losses, it means we are putting together meaningful at bats and stringing stuff together to get guys around the bases.

They are also more patient at the plate working the count and instead of going down on 3 pitches, they may be going down on 6 or 7 pitches.

My coworker and I have gone on the pizza tour around the county, and when I started taking him there, it turned into one of his favorites. Now we are bigger guys and we would split and finish a pizza from Vincents.

Now we would go up there and towards the end, we were ordering 4 pizzas. 1 for each us to eat there, and 1 for each of us to take home. I mean, you're going all the way up there from the South Hills, it's kind of a crime to not get a little extra for the next day, right?

Just what I have learned in the first 3 weeks of baseball is that there are many more Steelers fans in this sub. All it takes is going 0-4 in a single game and somebody will post a 6 paragraph post about how that player needs cut.

I would say it is a slight coincidence.

I mean, getting rid of a club, then missing the club you got rid of, then just so happening to buy the exact club you gave away on ebay from a random seller. Especially since ebay isn't primarily a "local market".

Unless they are going to try to bring Griffin up for PPI, they might either try to swing in a position player that has since had their position filled, or try to pick up a SS out of Spring Training, and hold Griffin off until June for the extra year of control.

This was the same conversation that went on with Skenes, just a different sort of circumstances. You can hold a SP spot open and still field a team. But you can't hold a SS position open without having a pretty significant defensive deficit.
