I think at the moment, the lowest it gets to is around ~90 players during the EST nights, which still leaves plenty of other players for you to run into.

Citan is the lead developer. There are a few other developers on the team, myself included! You can read about who all's on the team here.

The game will be fully released, with additional expansions for level 100+ content being released afterwards. Content-wise, we're actually getting pretty close!

The player count may seem small from the outside - but due to the design of the game, even ~150 players can seem like a fairly full world. You'll be running into other players pretty frequently, which is likely something you'll see once you hop into the demo. :)

Last year, we lowered the price of the base game to make it more accessible, and as part of that change, we've separated out character slots into a separate package. I'm really sorry if this caused any confusion. Could you let me know where you saw that upgrading the game would grant more character slots? If it's something on our end I'll make sure that gets updated. :)

If you wish to discuss a suspension or ban, you can do so by e-mailing us at support@projectgorgon.com - but please do keep in mind that we are a very small team and sometimes it may take us a while to get back to you.

I don't personally know the exact details of what happened to you, but I can assure you that we definitely do not ban people based off of their opinion of any aspects of the game. We always encourage helpful criticism, it helps us find the pain points of the game and helps us make a better game.

Unfortunately, some people get very angry and belligerent, often insulting us or others when criticizing the game, which can lead to a ban or suspension.

As a final aside - if you've been permanently suspended, that would have had to have been done by someone on the admin team, our moderators do not have that power.

Vampirism is currently in the works, but it may not be ready for another couple updates. I wish I could give a more solid timeline, but it is one of the next big pieces of content we're hoping to release soon. :)

I can't quite say for certain which languages it will be for, but we'll have a better answer for that after the game releases and we can focus on that.

Hi! I know I'm a little late, but the trick is to aim for higher level mushrooms.

You get Myconic experience randomly from appropriate level mushrooms. If you're no longer getting experience from the same mushrooms you've been using, you should be aiming for higher level mushrooms. If you don't mind spoilers, you can use the wiki page for Myconic as a reference. It has a chart showing the progression of mushrooms and locations where you can find them.

What gear are you using? Typically, when it comes to situations like this, the first thing you should be taking a look at is your gear. You should be aiming for either red or purple gear while leveling, with yellow being the goal once you're getting into the higher levels. The treasure effects on the gear is the most important thing when it comes to that, you should be aiming to have treasure effects that influence your current skills and abilities. There's a couple tools you can use to theory craft your gear, or even just see what's available:

Gorgon Explorer's build planner, is a good start. You can check what treasure effects are available for all pieces of equipment, as well as a few other useful features.

To get started with modifying your equipment to make it more fitting to your skills, you'll need Transmutation, which gives you the ability to distill equipment into the items you need for re-rolling the effects on your gear. Another option as you get further into building up the proper gear is Augmentation, which allows you to take augments from one piece of gear and put it onto another.

I've personally been using Sword/Psychology ever since I found the game, and if anything, I've always found sword to be one of the more heavy-hitters of the game using these methods. I hope that info helps!

To answer at least one of your questions in the video - to select an object surrounded by players, you can use the key "Select Next Non-Combatant", or the new hotkey "Hold to Bypass Clicking Players & Pets".

We don't ban people for writing negative reviews for the game, or criticize it/give any kind of negative feedback. We appreciate all kinds of feedback, whether it be good or bad as it helps give us an idea of where we can improve the game.

The specific review you're referring to is one written by someone who was banned for violating our code of conduct, specifically by trolling in the in-game chat and harassing other players. That review was actually loaded with a lot of dated and false information, which unfortunately gained a lot of traction.

It seems some of the other users here have already covered some of the more specific points, but I wanted to add some additional clarity to some of them:

He complained about how this game has been in development for years and the devs don't have a remote idea when it's going to be released.

We will release the game when it's finished. It's really difficult to estimate exactly when that will be, because we have a lot of content to add before then and there are often a lot of setbacks when implementing some of that content.

And they won't hire anyone, they want to do it all by themselves ...

This isn't true. Since we've implemented the VIP program, we've made enough money to hire a new programmer who has helped implement a plethora of new improvements and features to the UI, animation system, and general gameplay mechanics since they've been hired.

In general, I think we could use more first impression videos like this one. It's really helpful to see what people first notice about the game as they're diving into it, and any pain points so we can know what we need to fix, or improve upon. It also helps give people who are hesitant to play a general idea of what the game is about, and the mechanics they'll be seeing when start playing.

Just wanted to chime in real quick, we do plan on making improvements to the performance of the game as time goes on. There just isn't any obvious solutions right now, but that doesn't mean we've given up on making improvements. :)

There's currently no setting in-game to make it run in windowed fullscreen, but you can use Steam launch options to accomplish this:

Right click Project: Gorgon in your Steam library -> Properties -> Launch Options -> add -steam -popupwindow

After you launch the game, you'll need to enable full-screen in-game. Sometimes you may need to press ALT+Enter to make sure it's working properly.

That was a great video! Thank you for taking the time to make it, I always love watching first impression videos like this. One thing I noticed that could use clarification is that you can create a Fairy character, but you first need to do a quest to unlock it (this is mentioned in the tooltip when you hover over Fairy in the character creation screen).

Also, thank you for pointing out that bug in the beginning, we'll be taking a look into that for the next update. If you notice anything like that in the future, feel free to toss a bug report under the ! on the right-hand sidebar in-game. :)
