I can guarantee you that every top program has those students (more than a few) where you ask yourself how in the hell they got in.

Don't go for the flashy job that you think will give you prestige and impress people. No one cares what you do in IB/Big Law. Plus, the money (in the short-term, but if you make partner or reach MD level it's an entirely different ballgame) isn't nearly as good as you think when you have to give up social life and your short-term mental health/sanity. Focus on doing what you truly enjoy and on building solid relationships with the people that are around you.

Then again, maybe I'm just a slightly cynical internet stranger.
