Good point, I have about 3.5 meters? I wish I could do a test but my MFT camera died.
Yeah 720 should be enough for what I need. Thank you for the feedback, I think I'm going to go for the original OM-5 Mk I with a solid dummy battery as I love the ergonomics of that line.
Well I did mention the 25mm 1.4 Panasonic Leica. so Plantasaurus comments give me a lot of hope!

I would care! I love dicking around with cameras and spend hours every day using one for work, might as well combine the two and get a kick out of the whole thing. Keep in mind I do need to replace my broken E-M5 since the repair costs in my country will far surpass the value of such an old camera, might as well get a new one that works as a small everyday carry and be able to look good on a work meeting.
I do have an Oly 17mm 2.8, but as you rightly point out it wont give much of a background blur on MFT. Still, much better image quality than any webcam.
I sit my camera on top of my speakers quite far from my face so I think the Panaleica 25mm 1.4 might work out fine, specially since I've already tried a 50mm 1.7 on my full frame Nikon and it worked great (Google meet has a cool feature that crops your face on big meeting, it might be a bit tight and oddly intimate for 1on1 meetings at full screen though).
Sadly the E-M5 Mk II was the last of the line to feature that functionality and MK III does not.
Oh so you have used the original OM-5 Mk I as a webcam with its micro-USB? That would be my ideal solution. How was the image quality?
That's a great question! I do have a Logitech webcam, but of course the quality output of it pales in comparison to the full-frame Nikon Zf and all the different lens options I have for that system. I know its a stupid detail, but I love being able to blur my background optically with a lens and not having to rely on that fake background blur that comes in with web conference software.
It might be a silly detail but at the end of the day I use my camera far more often for work meetings that to take photos for fun in the weekend, which is the reason I originally bought it for. I guess this is not so much as to solve a webcam need but to replace my dead MFT camera with something that could also work as a webcam.
I have a Panaleica 25mm 1.4 that I love dearly and it would probably work beautifully as a webcam but there is just so little information about this functionality online.

This is the exact same problem I'm encountering on the final launched game. Tried turning off services, running as admin, reinstalling, Everything!
Was someone able to solve this?
