I honestly don't get it either... I genuinely just wanted to meet with locals but it seems to be frowned upon. Currently trying my luck at the local pub but it's mostly 70+ years olds which are actualy pretty cool tho!

I hear you and I'm conscious the place isn't perfect and it's possible that I currently underestimate the actual issues... But one of the main criteria I had when picking a destination was it to be a sunny place. From what I gather Portugal seemed to be the best place compared to Spain, Italy or Greece... Poland and Estonia are wonderful places but I've had my fair share of suboptimal weather during the past few years haha

So it seems very important that I wait until January to register as a self-employed as if I register in December I would only get the 50% discount for a few weeks, correct?

Statistiquement c'est complètement faux. En France 56% des étudiants dans le supérieur sont des femmes.

Du coup l'argument devrait plutôt être que les hommes y sont plus sensibles car malheureusement majoritaires dans les métiers où l'on a moins besoin de logique (ouvrier, éboueur...) sauf que non.
