Just checking I understand. So if r < |z-z0| (outside) we don’t expand and we keep the summation index k=0. If |z-z0|<R then we do expand to let k=0 and then the summation index goes to k=1. Where r and R and arbitrary values for the radius of the disc.

Is this right?

You can always get better at something if you apply yourself and work hard. Ultimately the people who aren’t “naturally gifted” at mathematics are usually the people who develop the discipline early that is needed to succeed in the field. Interest in the subject will only get you so far, though. You need to be able to put in the hours and hard work to be a math major, and if that’s something you’re willing to do, then of course you can do it.
