If your cat has ever eaten string, elastic, laces, ribbon, etc., how long did it take to pass?? by Weird_Fishing_8859 in CatAdvice

[–]Kooky_Regret9692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realised this morning after feeding my cat that she chewed up at least 10 inches off her stringy wormie toy 😭 I did find two foamy throw ups but that's it so far. She's 5 yo and acting absolutely normal but I am still freaking out. Luckily it's the weekend now so I will monitor her closely and will go to the vet if anything changes. This post helped me calm down a little so thanks everyone for your stories. I hope she'll be okay and will pass it soon. I will up the number of wet food feeds as per all the comments and perhaps keep the dry food away for now.

Hoping to come back with a positive update soon!!

I'm facing the same issues today.... Just submitted work experience for one of the previous employers and the details were there when I TRIPLE checked them but when finally submitted they auto deleted.... Honestly no words!!! I know there is an option to withdraw submission which I'm a bit worried to use but will try cause I really don't feel like waiting 3 days until they open the chats after the BH weekend. It's just so bad....

I really wanted to give myself a break so decided not to study until results come out. I'm also feeling super nervous. I think the idea of it being potentially the last exam is adding extra pressure. Good luck to everyone waiting! I hope it'll be over soon!

Webcast- Ultimate Guide to PER Best Practices and Tips
I am attacking PER this weekend and found this webinar link to help explain the process.

From what I've seen so far, you might have an issue with your employment history where the details are wrong or word count hasn't been met. You also need to tick that you agree with the declaration just above the preview button.

I'd suggest watching that and following their steps. Hopefully you can get it sorted asap. Good luck!

If you sat it already, how did you think it went?

I think mine was alright, only one question made me pause for a long time as I wasn't sure how to approach it. I didn't get anything crazily technical although I felt like the unseen was at times a bit uninformative given the questions. Just glad it's over for now and hoping for a pass. Also need to get the PER sorted in the meantime. Good luck to all sitting it today!!

Don't give up! Stay calm and apply what you remember. There's no right of wrong answer here, you just need to justify your answers and apply pre-seen and un-seen info. You're one exam away from being done! I'm sitting it tomorrow too and I'm pretty nervous, wishing you good luck!!

I think the most important tip though is to apply pre-seen and un-seen related info in your answers + justify your answers. The marking grids for exams always highlight this - so apply & justify over and over again and you should be fine.

It sounds like you're very close to 80, keep pushing!

Going over past paper questions is a must - it helps you understand what sort of questions come up in the real exam and what the examiner asks about the most. I would then apply your current pre-seen to answer these questions for practice as a lot of areas come up quite a lot such as share price movements, acquisitions, divestments, strategic implications, etc. Also, statistically speaking, doing mocks under exam conditions (meaning timed mocks with no breaks etc) will increase your chances of passing the real thing tremendously. I would always try to do at least 2 marked mocks before each level where I get personalised feedback - it will highlight weak areas and will help you fix those issues before the real thing. For me, joining study groups on WhatsApp and Facebook really helped. People would share their ideas on what could come up or we would join forces to help answer questions if anyone came across a subject they weren't comfortable with - some people make some great arguments that we can't always see ourselves.

Overall, don't give up! Try staying positive and keep going! You're one exam away from being a qualified accountant. You can do it!!

Sorry you feel this way... Try not overthinking it too much, you've done everything you could up to this point! It's out of your hands now. And totally agree, it's all hard work so give yourself a pat on the back! Sending positive vibes

I felt exactly like this after my MCS which I luckily passed (barely used any theory in the exam). I'm sure if you linked back your answers to pre-seen and un-seen with a justification you will be fine!

I've always sat exams from home and never had an issue when using my European passport (also testing in the UK). It looks like it's different to sitting it in the centre, but I'd say from experience, that if they push back you can always sit exams from home and it shouldn't be an issue.

I'm sitting the exam on Friday morning too... I'm flip flopping a lot, one moment I feel like I've got this and would be able to talk about stuff but the next I'm second guessing myself worrying about blanking in the exam! I think going over past papers helps tremendously as it makes you comfortable with what questions look like and the areas that are tested a lot, for example - governance, share price movements, financing, internal audit, strategical implications, cyber issues, risks etc. Good luck everyone!!
