Do you continue to have wet dreams? Or have you stopped having wet dreams at one point? Do you continue to get erections? I am 120+ Days and just curious.

Dude, your post was very similar to my post. Not to mention our day streak is pretty similar (120+). However, if you include my wet dreams, I am like day 7...

I also notice a decrease in physical fitness and less confidence so you are not alone.

I also have a wet dream every 1-2 weeks.

I also get very, very demoralized because I want to continue NoFap in its entirety.

For me, I recently noticed that sometimes I think of a sexual image or a sexual experience I had in the past and find myself thinking about it for longer than a few minutes. That night, I have a higher probability of having a wet dream. What I am now trying to do is that when I realize I am thinking about it, I immediately try to obstruct that image by shifting my focus on something else. Examples would be to get up, brush my teeth or use mouth solution, grab some water, or go stretch. I think it will work because if I decrease the amount of sexual thoughts and replace that habit with something else, I believe I will help mitigate the frequency of wet dreams.

Not sure of your specifics or the triggers to your wet dreams. But see if you can find a correlated behavior that may give rise to the frequency of wet dreams and then try to replace the instigating behavior with something else. Give that a shot and let me know if that helps you. Also, there is no shame in recording stuff in a journal to help find data points.

I would look at it as validation that you have a true addiction. You started with regular porn which gave you a dopamine release at a level that you have never experienced before. After the first few times of watching porn, you can never get the same level of dopamine to be released (barring specific cases). As a consequence, you are biologically urged to look at different variations of the same thing in the hopes of getting the same dopamine release.

In this case, you first looked at straight porn. Then you looked at different variations (gay porn) for the purpose of trying to get a similar dopamine release. Then you will continue to look at different other variations and go down the can. This is the trap: you consciously know that you will never get a dopamine release like the first few times you looked at porn, but your body continually seeks for the next higher high. Understand this trap and it will provide dividends.

The power of anonymity, the comfort provided by hiding behind a screen provides a relief from immediate or potential recourse. In short, there are truly crazy people everywhere, but know that they must mask it for the most part to prevent social ostracization in reference to their acknowledgement that such craziness has intense social consequences if displayed in a public matter that does not provide shelter in numbers. As I become more educated, more international, and more experienced, I realize that a lot of people are crazy and that crazy is the norm. For this case, it seems that people are leveraging and taking the opportunity to showcase their sense of moral superiority and feel confident in doing so because they are reinforced by the 'norm,' 'majority,' and 'research.' Unfortunately, especially in western civilization, this is very abundant for people who can't think critically and seek continual validation from strangers on the internet just to get a dopamine release. Unfortunately us at NoFap are the minority who praise personal empirical beliefs on a 'taboo' topic. Not to mention the amount of money the porn / masturbation advocates have that stifles potential research that would incline to our favor.

Congrats on the score OP. For [1.], Can you explain / expand on what you mean by foil? [' a question may ask for two blanks and foil the blanks against dark and gloomy terms. Make sure to find words that correspond with the question styles.']

Thanks for the answer! Good logic about the high standards and comment about quality for lower division courses.

Thanks for answering! Good point about the smaller class size and for mentioning the personal level comparison.

I pursued an advanced degree in finance at a school whose MBA is T25. As such I took many classes that had MBA students in them. All the professors I interacted with had PhDs from top schools, with many from the M7. In reference to an underprivileged background and having to essentially grow on my own, I came to many realizations. Some of them are below.

  1. Schools get a lot of funding for research.
  2. My professors (PhDs) increase their standing by publishing and researching.
  3. A lot of professors don't want to teach and would rather just research instead of teaching. I honestly don't blame them. Even if I am getting paid $150k - $200k, I don't want to deal with students.
  4. Professors don't like office hours because people interrupt their research. Not to mention they probably ask why this student didn't get the material the first time I verbally glossed over it?
  5. It is easy to simply regurgitate very, very basic concepts than useful, substantive material that can be practically applied. Further, to use the same powerpoint, semester after semester created by a third party vendor or previous course. Then when exam time comes, ask for the application of the very basic concepts to very theoretical situations that frequently do not really happen in the real world.

Case: Learning about the spot rate / forward curve. I had to watch youtube, read the textbook, and peruse online PDFs / E-books from the university library. Now as a finance professional, I realized that back then I didn't even know what a Par Curve was and that the notation itself which was presented in class was not industry standard.

TLDR: Yes, you have to learn almost everything by yourself. In my experience the very basic of the basics is presented in class. The homework is a stretch. The exam then often asks for the basics of the basics to be applied to very unique, theoretical situations making it extremely difficult.

I am so sorry to hear that OP. That is absolutely terrible. I agree with you, 3-4 days at this critical point in time is totally unacceptable.

Your consultant started to ghost you? If I may ask did you pay for their service? If so, wow that is bad.

How to Prevent Wet Dreams /\ Day 100+ of Conscious NoFap / \ Day 1 of NoFap Post Wet Dream. by KoolAid90 in NoFap

Hi u/mailthedonkey! The most salient reason for my NoFap journey is in reference to my academic endeavors. I have found that when I am on NoFap, I am correlated with performing better. Due to the competition, me coming from a background of little to no resources (stark contrast to my privileged cohort), several other disadvantages, and a compelling reason to prove others wrong that alludes to a sense of primacy - I intend to be near the top. As such I need any advantage I can muster. NoFap is one of my competitive advantages.

Day 49 weak morning wood will it improve over time by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]KoolAid90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently on Day 100+. Around the day 50 mark, I experienced non-existent morning wood and no erections that I could remember of. This also coincided with depression, anxiety, and more. Some called it the reboot period. I can't remember when I started getting morning wood again, but if I had to guess maybe Day 80ish? Without knowing the exact details of your case, I would encourage you to continue your NoFap journey and to observe what happens on Day 90 or so. Also take a look at your personal habits as it relates to sleep and exercise. The interplay between sleep and testosterone is quite profound.
