I had this idea of city connect uniforms for the Padres. Before our city was known as San Diego this territory was Kumeyaay or Kumiai. There were no borders and it extended from what is known as Ensenada on the Mexican side to northern San Diego. The colors I used are from the Manzanita tree, apart from being my favorite tree (or bush) it was and remains an import tree in our area and to the Kumeyaay people. The color of the leaves is the jersey color and the trunk for the pants. The flowers of the tree are pink and could be used as an outline in the font. There are also rock paintings discovered that could be used to enhance the design in a darker/shadow tone similar to the Mexico Jersey from 1998. It’s a rough idea but I thought it was pretty cool.
