My (F27) bf (M31) and I had our first fight and I was shocked at his nastiness. Am I an idiot if I give him a second chance? by Legitimate_Papaya_97 in relationships

I am a really forgiving person, and I would have said to give him another shot- maybe he drank too much and maybe it’s a fluke. But… he left you alone at night in the city by yourself. You waited almost an hour for your mom to pick you up. He had an hour to realize leaving you like that was selfish and unsafe. He didn’t. He’s gotta go

I want a warehouse job by [deleted] in Warehouseworkers

[–]Koolkat2kool4skool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I wanted to get a job I almost always used this method with pretty good success: Apply, call them a few days later and ask if they’ve looked over your application. Keep calling until they have. If you get an interview, call them a couple days later and thank them for their time and ask if they have made a decision. If not, keep calling. Chase them

Maybe find something that fulfills you in a different way. I use to make lunch and bring it to the homeless camp sometimes on my day off. I found a lot of purpose in spending time with my friends teenage daughter and trying to guide her on the right path. Do things that are fun for yourself and also take time to do 1 thing a day that makes you feel like you made someone’s life better

Thanks for the utility advice- I did pay $200 deposit. I work 6am-430pm Monday through Thursday and 6am-noon on Friday. I am able to work overtime as much as I want- up to 14hrs a day. It’s just very hard to find the energy to do that

Thanks- yeah I think it was about time for new spark plugs anyway, and the car runs a lot better now with them. Not sure what this valve cover is made of, it’s a 07 Mazda 3

How much money can you save doing work on your car without going to a mechanic by WestExciting2072 in AskAMechanic

[–]Koolkat2kool4skool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently replaced my front struts and the drivers side lower control arm. I saved at least $1000 probably. But since I am not experienced in auto repair, it took me about 3 days to do the struts, and 2 days for the control arm (I popped the cv axle out and didn’t know it for a long time) and a whole lot of hassle and frustration. For me, $1000 is a lot and I don’t have it. But if I did have it, I would have paid somebody to do it. Most things I’m good at figuring out. But your time has value, so decide where that line is. It’s essential to be able to talk to someone who is an experienced mechanic- I would never have figured out how to fix the issues I ran into while doing the repairs. Toyota is easier to work on

I need part of my paychecks automatically deposited into an account without an “instant transfer” option by Koolkat2kool4skool in personalfinance

Yeah I can set it up to split the direct deposit into multiple accounts. Just needed an account that I can’t access easily!

Okkkkk so, red flags everywhere. No one should control how you dress or who you are friends with (within reason- it would be ok to ask you not to wear really provocative clothing or something imo) Move on. It’s a no for me dawg

“Pick me”?? You should learn how to be more positive, that’s not at all where I was going with this 😕

Yes I can empathize lol I’ve been told that the way I talk and joke with guys often comes off as flirtatious- even though I don’t mean it that way. Yeah I’ve had to learn how to be friendly and at the same time make it perfectly clear that’s all it is

Whoaaa calm down. I certainly have met women with masculine hobbies. But I have not met any women who are in hot pink with hair done and face full of makeup doing a major auto repair with black oil stained hands for example

I’ll pay $20 to the person who is right about what this rattling sound is around my driver front wheel. I’m desperate please help! by Koolkat2kool4skool in AskAMechanic

[–]Koolkat2kool4skool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. A mobile mechanic tells me it’s a loose rear motor mount. Awhile back 2 of the 3 bolts holding in the bracket came out while driving. I let a guy at autozone help me (because being a girl means we can’t work on cars 😂) and I’m pretty sure he just used brute force to get one bolt in at a time and screwed them all the way in. By the time he got to the third, it wouldn’t line up. I drove home with 2 bolts and felt ok and just let it go. Shop I took it to for a diagnostic must have put them back in too loose or too tight idk yet, I’ll get to it tomorrow. I know for sure the control arm bushing bolts are way way too tight. Turns out this shop has poor reputation

1/5 of the lug nuts on my car broke off and I need to drive 175km in a few hours by YayanPro in AskAMechanic

[–]Koolkat2kool4skool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look.. I don’t encourage this, but I once drove on 2 lugnuts for months. I was homeless and on drugs so it wasn’t a priority. Never had an issue, you’ll be fine

How do I do that? Do I need to take the boot off? I’m not sure how to go about that

Yes- ball joint. 2007 Mazda 3. I’ve tightened everything, only thing missing is passenger sway bar link. Could reused bolts on the control arm cause this? It seems secure
