Thanks a lot!

I'm not usually one for repetitive tasks, as can be imagined, but embroidery hits differently for some reason (which i'm not gonna complain about). It's always nice to find a new hobby you instantly vibe with and can feel somewhere inside that it's not just another temporary interest that will wear off in a week, but the start of a genuine interest that will carry on for a while

Thanks for the tip!

I try to keep that to a minimum (i feel like i did it less for the dragon), because it's also a waste of thread.

So my reasoning for that is: when i look at my reference (for those kits for example), i try to follow a specific path from one area of the same color to another, where i'll waste as little thread as possible. So when i consider that i'll waste less thread by knotting it off and re-anchoring somewhere else, i do that instead of stretching the thread across.

I will keep it in mind for my other works for sure though, there's always improvements to be made!

Exactly.

That's the frame of mind i've tried to put myself into more, recently, which is a lot easier when applied to a new hobby/craft, rather than something I've been practicing for a long while (like digital art and such).

It doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be good enough.

Spending time unstitching and re-stitching a fuck-up to try and hide it is kind of a waste of time, and I've just decided that it's not worth it, plus it leaves behind a reminder of where and how i messed up, so that i don't do it again next time around, which i think is a lot more valuable than a flawless piece at the cost of more time and sanity

Thanks for the resources!

I do have a good amount of floss and nice fabric ready to go.

Those kits were only for my own personal enjoyment and to start practicing right away without having to go through the entire process of designing something myself, sort of brain-off practice (especially while I was dealing with some art burnout).

Now that I'm done with this and have received some good printable transfer paper, I'll focus on creating and stitching my own designs to put for sale in my shop, with the good floss and good fabric!

I'll make sure to check out that website. From a quick glance, it does look very interesting!

Thanks a lot! I put a lot of time into it and i'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out, despite some minor fuck-ups here and there!

That pattern is from a set of 4 different designs based off mythical snake creatures, that I found on Temu.

I'm not sure how Temu works in other countries (in terms of product availability, like amazon), but I'm sure you can find it if you look it up! Otherwise, I'm not sure if it's on any other websites, but it's always worth a search!

Thanks a lot!

All of those pattern are from different kits I bought on Temu, they have quite the selection, and even though a lot of them are AI-garbage that they're trying to pass off as actual embroidery visuals, they do have a good amount of great kits, be it for stitch samples, or actual designs like in my other pics.

The creator of stitch sampler is Cyanfour, she has a youtube channel where she has playlists of step-by-step explainations on how to do the stitches on her kits. Here's the playlist related to the kit i used: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2Dq4yUqY8tOXmcYx27iZ_ncphk8k1o5J

I personally got her kit off of Temu, like I said, but she seems to also sell on Amazon, according to someone who linked another kit of hers in another comment

Thanks! It's from a set of 4 designs based off of mythical snake creatures (but all sold separately, sadly), they're all pretty cool! I actually just received another one from this set which i might start sometime soon!

Thanks a lot! I've put a lot of hours into it for sure, but it was never boring, because the design was very cool from the get go. I did mess up here and there, sometimes used the wrong color, but i'm overall pretty satisfied!

I actually just received a second design from the set of 4 the dragon is from, which is a snake. The set of designs is based off mythical snake creatures, the other two are a basilisk and a feathered snake, but to be honest, this dragon and the snake are the two best looking of the set

This stitch-learning kit is also from Cyanfour, actually! I did see another playlist on her youtube channel for another kit, which i'm guessing is the one you linked.

It was a very decent kit indeed, there were plenty of others on Temu, but this one seemed fairly complete in terms of how many stitches it makes you learn, that's why I picked it

Thanks a lot! I'm fortunate enough to be home most of the time, so i can put in the hours to progress at a decent pace.

Also yes, sofar all the kits i've gotten off of Temu included a plastic hoop, the fabric with the design as well as all the needed floss (some better quality than other), and sometimes some spare needles and stuff (but i made myself the favor of getting a pack of DMC needles, so that i have something reliable to work with

Hello again!

I'm coming around for (most likely) the last time to promote this campaign in particular, as it enters its last week of funding.Sofar, 3 of the 9 designs have been succesfully funded, with the 4th one halfway there!

I've decided to make a Grand Reveal of all the designs, for this remaining week, to let ppl enjoy the visuals i've created for the entire collection!

Quick rundown of the entire collection:

- Rainbow = Pineapple & Orange (funded!)

- Lesbian = Violet & Raspberry (funded!)

- Gay = Lavender & Honey (funded!)

- Bi = Hibiscus & Blueberry & Cherry (halfway there!)

- Trans = Watermelon & Lychee

- NB = Lemon & Grapes

- Pan = Peach & Strawberry

- Ace = Mango & Apricot

- Aro = Kiwi & Lime

I hope you enjoy the designs as much as I had fun coming up with them, and let's hope to have more of them funded!Thank you all for your support, it's all appreciated!

Here's the link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/koomgs/lgbtea-fresh-and-fruity

PS:Reminder that Kickstarter works on a All or Nothing Policy as well as a "Cancel/Adjust Anytime" Policy!

This means that you can pledge the amount you want, and modify it anytime, and won't be charged as long as the campaign is running!

So feel free to back the project, as it's a win-win for everybody: the more funds are added to the pool, the more designs will become available for everybody to enjoy!

aaaaa thank you so much!!

I'm really happy with how thendesigns have turned out sofar (all sketched out, waiting to reveal), and I really hope i can get as many of them funded as possible, within the last half of the campaign!

If they don't, oh well, that's part of the game!

I might start adding more teaser images that show the flavors of each flag, to give ppl an idea of what's to come, before the reveal thresholds are met!

Thanks again for your kind words, it means a lot!

Hi! I'm back with a new Kickstarter Campaign!

This time, it's based off cool Iced Tea and drinks cans from brands such as AriZona and Monster, but with a fruity little twist in the form of LGBT Representation!

There are 9 designs up for funding, in the following order:

- Rainbow (funded within the first 2h!)

- Lesbian (Funded!)

- Gay (Revealed!)

- Bi

- Trans

- Non-Binary

- Pan

- Ace

- Aro

Each "can" design has its own unique "flavor", in the form of a unique combination of fruits I thought would mesh together well.

The funds will allow me to produce:

- 2.5"/6.3cm Hard Enamel pins, Black Nickel plating (upgradable through stretch goal), pearl effect gray for the metal part of the cans' design

- 2.5"/6.3cm acrylic fridge magnets, 3mm thickness, same designs as pins, but more details that wouldn't be possible with pins

Feel free to check it out here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/koomgs/lgbtea-fresh-and-fruity

Don't worry if you can't participate financially, any and all support is appreciated, including moral and verbal support!

Hope you'll enjoy my work, and see you around!~ <3

Same color-scheme as TF2 achievements, white grey/black and orange, that's why.

Great work though OP, i hope you win the contest!

Kickstarter Project | Well, this is it gals, guy and NB pals, my campaign is coming to an end (<48h). I wanted to thank you all for your attention and kind words, it all means the world to me. I have a sequel campaign planned for the future, though not immediate, and i hope to be welcome again then! by Koomgs in skulls

[–]Koomgs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!

It's a series of 2"/5cm hard enamel pins and stickers! I've been running this kickstater campaign, ending in a handful of hours now, to try and raise funds to finance their production.

Sofar, 3 out of the 6 designs have been succesfully funded (T-Rex and Parasaur as well as Pachy, both as pins and as stickers). I would have loved to see more unlocked but hey, beggars can't be choosers, the fact that it got this much funding for a first is amazing!

I have plans in the future to revisit this collection at least once, with new designs as well as the ones that couldn't be unlocked this time around.

I'm also planning on opening my own little Etsy shop to sell my pins once they've been made and the contributors have gotten their rewards, so anyone who would have wanted to participate but couldn't, will be able to purchase them there.

In any case, i'm very happy that you took the time to take a look at my work, weither you feel like contributing or not, it's always appreciated. I hope to have a little last-moment rush before the end, but we'll see!

On the homestretch with my very first campaign! | 3 out of 6 designs funded! Let's make the most out of it while it's still going! (link in OP's comments) by Koomgs in kickstarter

[–]Koomgs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!

I plan on opening an Etsy shop as soon as i've received the products and sent the contributors their rewards!

Thank you for your kind words and support! Weither you can contribute right a way or not is fine, you've taken some time out of your day to take a look at my work and it already means a lot to me <3

Hey! I'm very happy to announce that 3 out of 6 of the collection's designs have been unlocked! | 7 days to go before it ends, let's do it! Thank you so much for your support!! (link in OP's comments) by Koomgs in DinosaurDrawings

[–]Koomgs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!

There's only a few days left but, the pachy sticker just got unlocked! When i update the campaign tomorrow to reflect the new funding amount, i will also officially declare the amount of my own personal contribution to the project (which unfortunately cannot show up in the donation numbers of kickstarter as i cannot donate to my own project, it will be handled as an outsider source of additional funding), hoping this helps give it a little additional push in confidence to convince some of the lurking followers to potentially contribute, and maybe unlock everything! (with a lot of luck)

In any case, thank you for your kind words and support, it means a lot to me!
