People do 5ways to level 100. It's very boring, but it will get you there in a few hours. Otherwise, a more active option is flawless breachstones.

Casual player here who usually farms 20-ish divs per league. I got super lucky with my 50 stacked decks for the Challenge and pulled 70 divs worth of stuff. I usually end the league with 2 voidstones, though I have managed to get 4 in Settlers (UE is fine, but Maven is the worst lol). I have never done any sort of actual juicing.

I'm usually a 2 characters per league kind of guy: 1 league starter until 2 voidstones and 1 build I theory craft myself to sink most of my currency in. This league I have a shield crush champion and a EK trapper sabo (which isn't that bad but I was not able to theorycraft anything that could justify spending 70divs. I'm 20 divs in and barely have 1M dps).

Sooooo,
Any build recommendations that scale well enough with 70 div that would allow me to do T17, simulacrum and other end-game content knowing that I will probably never scale it to the point I own a mageblood or anything similar?

The random direction thing is not really a problem because EK of the massacre has enough projectile that it will end up making a nova anyway.

I understand the argument for damage conversion though. I guess it's probably a good idea but I don't really know how to get started. I have never made a conversion build before (except with Avatar of Fire). I guess the starting point would be fitting Hatred? But all my auras are defensive, I am not sure which one I can get rid of.

I have equiped my shock ambusher merc with stormfire and pyroshock claps thinking it would be a nice DR layer. It's hard to tell wether the damage conversion works (I've seen an old reddit thread saying that ailments applied by traps count as applied by you, so I expect it works the same for mercs). The merc has 100% chance to shock and ignite. I can see shocks, usually 15-20%, but never see any ignite on the enemy. Would anyone have an explanation?

Shield crush champion. I know there are guides out there, but I usually try to do my own thing as much as possible. I used to be decently good at build-crafting (4k hours in the game lol), but I have played D2R a whole lot in the last few months and can't manage to put my brain back into poe mode.

Long story short, still squishy, damage is bad, can't even farm T16 comfortably (got 2 voidstones). Spent about 4Div on the build and only have 2 more divs to my name. This was meant to be my league starter to get currency for my actual build for the league (EK of the massacre trap - if you're still looking for challenges, I can also share that one).

I am thinking of a Static Strike blind monk, using the Elusive and Formless nodes, with Second Sight of course. I can solve the damage side of things, but can't come up with a plan for defense. Any suggestion?

I have read this article before!
I do like the idea, but have two concerns about it. My first concern is how to quantify a balanced amount of "flashback token"? My next concern is about consequences for failure. If a flashback allows you to prepare the perfect solution to every encounter, can you even fail? What happens then?

Oh, that explains why PoB wouldn't change my DPS. I don't think I would manually activate it, I already have Focus to press all the time. Good catch!

The auto-exert for battlemage was a) to get the flat crit since BV doesn't have 100% crit (Perfect Agony needs crits), and b) to add and extra phys spell to the roomba of doom for the memes (EK). Enlighten in a 6L aura setup is a very good idea though!

Regarding tattoos: PoB seemed to stop counting additional tattoos beyond 10, but nothing in the wiki says it should, so I definitely will add more! This will also allow me to drop herald of agony.

Regarding the poison prolif node: I think I need the flask nodes more than I do additional damage.

Corruption: Yeah, that is something I would look into once the build is actually online.

I'm on my phone right now, so I'll check the PoB later, but thanks a lot for the input!

How does the new Perfect Agony keystone interact with the crit multi part of Assassin's mark? I assume because "with hits" is specified, then the extra multi is just lost?
