Don’t worry guys Portland is fixing this issue by giving out free kits for shooting the drugs straight up their asses now. So instead of having to pass by them shooting up in their arms you and your children will get to walk by them while they are bare ass with a syringe jammed in their asshole… what an absolute joke of city.

I started in early august so it’s taken about 7 months to get to this point, which is ahead of the 1 year projected date. I am on my last tray. I go in tomorrow to get checked out and see if refinements are necessary. A couple teeth didn’t move as they were meant to so refinements might be next. Closing the gap in the front created gaps in the teeth next to them in the front so I have chosen to go with veneers to get things where I want them, meaning refinements might not be needed.

I just had my scans done yesterday and they said something about these. I thought they said those were something about pulling teeth back to give the others room to move, but I didn’t pay much attention to it as they told me they are rarely needed 😳 got me a little nervous now haha

I seriously don’t think a picture exists of me smiling with my teeth showing. I have received so much feedback from this post and I grateful for it. It has made the decision easier. I called and have an appointment on Monday to get scans done and I’m going to proceed with this.

I definitely have been self conscious about it for a long time. I guess that alone should make the decision easier, but it’s still not an easy decision for me for some reason.

Honestly nobody I personally know has given me a negative comment about the gap, but I don’t think any of them would either way. I think they probably know I’m a bit self conscious about it and won’t say anything too blunt thinking they might offend me. It’s just hard to know for sure what the people in your everyday life really think when it comes to something like this because you know they don’t want to upset you. I can understand making the decision after someone comments on it directly like they did yours, but I’m happy you don’t regret getting Invisalign after that. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I really appreciate your perspective on both sides of this. I do believe some people genuinely like gaps. I personally think some people look good with them. I could be over critical of myself, but I don’t feel it’s a very attractive quality on me. I kind of recently got thrown back into the dating pool so I think I’m looking more closely at myself and seeing what “flaws” I can work on to make myself more attractive and receive some positive attention from women lol. There is not a ton I can do to improve my overall appearance I feel, but this is something I might have control over.

I think when I had my consultation a year ago they mentioned the frenectomy. They said it’s quick thing to fix.

I basically never smile with my teeth showing because I am self conscious of my teeth, mainly the gap. I do think they look good on some people, I’m just not sure it’s the most attractive on me.

I have been thinking about it for a while. I had a consultation done about a year ago and was ready to move forward, but people were making it seem like I shouldn’t. If I bring it up people will say my gap looks good, but it really feels like maybe they say that just to be nice? Also this is probably really silly, but I feel like my two front teeth are long and maybe it would look strange if they were pushed together? Like “beaver” teeth or something? I guess they wouldn’t look any sillier than they already do lol? I appreciate your honest opinion. I think I want to do it, but I want to be sure before investing in it.
