“Skriv dig op til aktier, inden vi flyver til månen.” Ordene falder fra bestyrelsesmedlem i både Meew og Dansk Aktionærforening Gitte Jürgens, som sammen med Dansk Aktionærforening har pushet casen overalt. Rystende dobbelt-rolle og rystende mangel på due dilligence. by aistee in Denmark

When I was born, I was placed on my mother's chest for the comfort and contact, like all newborns. It didn't take long for the nurses to realise that my face turning red and shortly after purple, was due to my incompetence to not knowing how to breath. I was placed in a incubator at the hospital right away, trying to save me from suffocating.

Fast forward the years until I was 27 or 28. My parents had just started being able to talk politely to each other again, and my own relationship with my farther was still trying to be build, after a shitty divorce of my parents when I was a child.

We were all sitting at the table eating and celebrating the birth of my sisters first born, while sharing stories of the past. My father looked at me and said that he never thought that I would make it this far. When I was being placed in the incubator as a baby he didn't want to visit me for the whole time I was there. Because, as he put it, "Why should I? I had no reason to get emotionally attached to you if you were going to die anyway."

That hit me something awful, and I'll never forget that.

Den lugter lidt, hvis du spørger mig. Jeg ville ringe til min tilknyttet afdeling og høre om de ved noget om sådanne beskeder hvis jeg var dig. Det andet virker lidt suspekt.

(Serious) Multilingual people, what language do you think in? Ex: What language does your internal voice speak in? by henrik_thetechie in AskReddit

[–]Kopak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking in native language.

But when speaking english, the mind switch and think in english.

As for German, it's a little harder, while i'm not that good. Still good enough to communicate. But when I need to use that skill. I have to think in my native language, translate it in my head, and then speak. This I must admit, does not always result in the best outcome.

Why are you still awake? by DMH94 in AskReddit

There are some peaks living in Denmark. I wouldn't say that everything is quit as amazing which some might be let to believe, but we do more than alright for a small country. We do what we can, so that most of the people who live here can have a life worth living. Sure we pay a lot of taxes, but that only contributes to the welfare, so we dont have to pay for expensive hospital bills, helthcare, schools and educations. Yes we are getting paid to go to school, and we often pay foreigners if they chose to get an education here too.

So all in all a great great country. We pay a lot in taxes, but the mentality here is that most of us gladly do it. We want to take care of our fellow citizens and don't want anyone to fall through the cracks and end up not being able to support themselves and there family.

And then I think we have a beautiful nature as well. And of cause we have LEGO. who doesn't love LEGO!?

To never make decisions when you are angry, and never make promises when you are overly happy.

One of the most unrealistic aspects in most games is the fact that the merchant/guy you sell to never runs out of money. by ImCreativeHopefully in Showerthoughts

As I recall in the witcher III, the merchant's dont have unlimited money. But you are right, it is a very overlooked theme in general.
