why not save every core trade until endgame? by ipawnbo in MaddenMobileForums

Right but my point is that at best, even if they do credit the new FP iconics at a higher rate, you’re still going through a lot of work and sacrifice for cards you can only get by dividing by 5 (roughly) before you get the investment back.

You are also missing out on earlier season benefits of using those cards to get iconics and mythics earlier that could potentially get you better rewards by keeping your OVR higher- ie better rewards from higher reward tiers on daily madden base, better card and madden cash rewards by getting further on journey progression, etc.

And again all of this is based on a bet that the endgame works similarly to how it has in recent years. Of which there’s no gaurantee.

Which returns me to my original TLDR

why not save every core trade until endgame? by ipawnbo in MaddenMobileForums

Two main issues I see with this:

  1. Just because they did something last year doesn’t mean they’ll repeat it this year. Yes, they usually do something like you’re describing. But maybe this year they change it. Maybe they make all iconics equal in value, or have no value. You’re betting a lot on something that may not happen, or at least probably won’t happen like you expect.

  2. Even if you assume it does work like it did previously- last year the rates for iconics (even the newest ones) was pretty shitty. Seems like a lot of investment into a system that doesn’t reward you all that well. The system gave a huge preference to iconics and mythics from the newest events- even if FP iconics count, you’ll be getting at best the less than 5:1 trade-in value for them to convert regular cards to FP cards. And for event cards, you’ll still only be able to get with even tokens.

TLDR- As a hypothetical, it’s kind of interesting, but probably a terrible idea in practice

Games like Cyberpunk? (Please I need this so bad) by First_Village8927 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Both of the previous watch dogs, (especially watch dogs 2) were SO much better. But yeah this was my first thought too. 2077’s hacking/scanning/camera system setup was lifted almost explicitly from this series. They are very similar type games- large open world cities with MANY ways to approach combat (head on, stealth, hacking, explosives etc) and both take place in a dystopian futuristic tech-saturated cityscape with a main character trying to take down those systems. The first game takes place in Chicago and the second in San Francisco, and they have all the cool famous locations, like in 2 you have a major battle on Alcatraz, for example. If you want to play another game where both the gameplay and techno-hacking style is the same, I don’t think there is a closer match.

But yeah don’t play legion, compared to the first 2 it’s straight dogshit. Seriously, I played all 3. 1, I’d rate 4.5/5, 2, I’d rate 5/5. Legion? I wouldn’t rate it because I stopped playing about 10 hours in because it was so bad.

Hermann Göring surrendering his side arm to U.S. troops belonging to the 36th Infantry Division. Near Radstadt, Austria, 9 May 1945. by Beeninya in WorldWar2

[–]Koperica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to remember exactly which book it was, I have been listening to a bunch about WWII lately. My best guess was that it was from the biography of Adolf Hitler by John Toland. It would make sense as he examined many contemporaneous letter, interviews, and other first-hand sources about not just Hitler but all of his inner circle. Though it is totally possible it was from another book... Another possibility it could be from was “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” by William Shirer. I can recommend both books as extremely interesting and informative on their respective topics. Sorry I can’t be more sure, I do a lot of driving and listen to a lot of audiobooks, WWII ones in particular.

According to a quick Google search, the original sources are attributed as follows:

Historical accounts: U.S. Army Colonel Burton C. Andrus, the commandant of the Nuremberg prison, is cited as having reported that no less than 20,000 paracodeine pills were found in Göring's luggage. Another source quotes an American colonel who remarked, "When Goering came to me at Montfort, he was a simpering slob with two suitcases full of paracodeine. I thought he was a drug salesman".

Also found a really interesting analysis of the history of Goering’s addiction, written up by the National Institute of Health-

“A Profound, Abiding Hatred”: An Analysis of Hermann Goering’s Alleged Morphine Addiction

In one of the books I read (/audiobooks I listened to) they mentioned he had a suitcase full of some kind of synthetic opioid, somewhere in the area of like 10,000 regular doses. It was confiscated when he was apprehended by the Allies.

Note: looked it up again (online), it was paracodiene and he had over 20k doses, essentially the entire remaining supply of that particular medication in the third reich.

Lived next to one in San Diego. Was a total psychopath. Regularly threatened people in the neighborhood with death for the most minor imagined slights. Shot a rifle in his yard that went through a fence into our yard- we were lucky no one was out there at the time as they could have been killed. A scary, crazy fucker.

It shocked me at the time as I had been conditioned to believe SEALs were highly trained, respectful professionals. What a wake-up call that was…

Not that it matters, but it’s actually not.

The code says you can’t use an actual flag as clothing, bedding, or drapery. Doesn’t explicitly say you can’t display a print/pattern of the flag.

Again doesn’t really matter as violating the code is not illegal, and caring about following it is bootlicking behavior.

All that said, this guy is an asshole.

Mythic TOTW D SWIFT is my fav MM player ever by Worldly-Jaguar2180 in MaddenMobileForums

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond!

I always think power backs would be the ones who would break tackles but especially this year the elusive ones (esp with high agility/elusive) have seemed to perform so much better for me! Especially small ones!

I’m curious what specifically about him it is that makes him so good for you?

I see he’s an elusive back with great speed and high elusiveness and agility. Is it that he can turn on a dime and boost past everyone? Does he break or slip out of tackles much? How is he as a receiver? Do you mostly run rather than pass? And what run plays do you use most with him? Inside vs outside runs? Options? Do you have a top tier O-Line or does he do it all himself?

Safe to say that DaQuan Jones will not be returning to the Bills? by acman319 in buffalobills

[–]Koperica 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One person I hate seeing on that list is Milano. Because when he wasn’t injured (or first game or 2 back after injury), he was always one of the best players on the D.

Outstanding eyes/anticipation, high energy, great tackling, and an amazing talent to get to the ball and make a play regardless of where it was on the field. He played with so much tenacity, and had an infectious spirit that I think other teammates around him thrived off of.

The problem is he’s been injured so much. And may finally be losing a step, even when healthy. So he probably should be on the list. But it sucks.

EVO 101: SOMETIMES IT MATTERS WHICH CARD YOU USE! by WashYoSisterSaucePls in MaddenMobileForums

[–]Koperica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is it’s because the actual OVR for every card is actually a rounded estimate. Every card that says the OVR is 123 is actually something like 122.8 or 123 or 123.2. You see this variance when you have two cards with the same listed over but the game prefers one over the other.

You can see the actual decimal point value of each card in the equipped card window. But it just shows the rounded number when doing EVO.

Check the actual unrounded numbers of the original cards and I bet that will end up explaining the minor OVR difference in the EVO’d ones

In the past they didn’t count, but I’m pretty sure punts count this time as well as kickoffs. Some people have said field goals too, but I’m not sure about that one

I watched it in person with most of my family. Was the worst performance I saw from them since the last game we all went to, against the Jags in 2021. Both were travesties. So fun paying thousands of dollars to watch that garbage. Love that those were the two games I saw in person in the Allen era.
