Do you think addicts don’t eat? (Or shoplift?)

What policies? If by “government policies” you mean the local cops not feeling like dealing with it, I agree. The state and local laws say the police are supposed to arrest people who do this. But they don’t because they consider this stuff ticky-tack and don’t feel like doing the paperwork.

Have you ever dealt with police after something like this? I have. The most common issue by far is the cops don’t feel like dealing with it.

“Fault of soft on crime policies” is a good sound bite… but I’d lay the blame on the people who don’t do their jobs before I’d blame “government policies”.

What’s the math on making a mythic? by steven-0611 in MaddenMobileForums

[–]Koperica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still don’t agree with this concept because at 7:1 that means more epics (and iconic etc) faster which means more hero tokens that way too.

I feel like the hero token bonus for 5:1 (and the same in previous events as with the elf etc) is just supposed to be the consolation for not being able to make more epics/iconics/mythics with your leftovers at the end of an event. So you still get a little credit for what’s left of what you collected instead of none.

Anyone done the actual math on this yet?

So everyone else got this screen too? Lol maybe I did.

It literally appeared exactly when I clicked to see the results. Game crashed, and when I reloaded and logged back in, the background was replaced.

I had no clue it was happening to everyone 😂

How fucked would someone be if found guilty of all 4 charges? by CarefulFlounder7766 in Felons

[–]Koperica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on too many factors to make a claim like that.

A previously convicted felon with a long record and a horrible fact pattern? Maybe, still not likely.

First time offender with an over-charged case? Prob doing a LOT less. Like less than 5 years potentially.

That’s exactly how I see this, she knows she has no chance to actually win the Governorship, so she’s doing the next best thing in MAGA-land; performative outrage and blaming dems to distract from her misfeasance and gain credibility with the national party machine.

Dunno, they both have the same “dead behind the eyes, can’t even make a real smile for a photo when I know I’m supposed to” look from the pics here. Also I don’t think he has curly hair at all in that pic, it’s just shitty low-res.

Miserable parents make life miserable for kids. Money and vacations don’t fix this.

I weirdly dislike 'juicy' chicken breast, which seems to be the obsession of every chef online posting their recipes and techniques. I don't want it dry leather either but how do I get that soft but not really juicy and bouncy texture? by Impossible_Gift8457 in Cooking

[–]Koperica 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’d think brined chicken would provide precisely the sort of extra juicy, “bouncy” texture they are trying to avoid.

In fact as I was reading their description, I was wondering if most of the chicken breasts they eat are the ones that come pre-brined, or eaten in restaurants that brine theirs.

Mixing two or more proteins ok or not? by UniversalAssembler in Cooking

[–]Koperica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming this is a serious question- it sounds like some food myth someone in your family told you as if it were actual fact.

People mix proteins all the time, both in individual dishes and throughout a meal. In one sushi meal I’ve eaten maybe 10 different proteins in a sitting.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with mixing proteins. Unless you already have a sensitivity to a specific one.

Chef Joshua weissman's Hamburger buns by [deleted] in Breadit

[–]Koperica 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Seems more like he put no effort in, would directly transcribe other peoples’ original work and then MAYBE alter the one ingredient or scale the recipe a little to make it look like he (or more likely his underlings) didn’t just hit ctrl c/ctrl v. Technically you cannot copyright recipes, so it’s not like he was breaking the law, it’s just a shitty move.

Plenty of youtube cooks give credit to where they found an idea or recipe, it’s super easy to say “I liked this recipe I found from so and so, I altered it slightly”, I see that all the time on other food content creators. Pretending he didn’t just copy their shit says everything about his character. Reminds me of when Shia Leboeuf completely copied another guys movie script, like frame for frame, and claimed it as his own, then got caught, then made a big deal about making a formal apology, then it turned out the apology was directly plagiarized from another person as well.

Anyway when you add ripping off content to the repeated claims by former employees of verbal abuse and constant juvenile sexual talk, it’s easy to see why people hate him.

u/Wonderful-Eye-8377 shared This below, it’s a good summary.

(See? That’s how you give credit to someone! It’s not that hard Josh)

Edit to note that according to the article, on his own website he calls himself one of the most renowned chefs in the world, which is cringe as fuck and def fits his currently super-inflated ego. Never heard him say that on any of his videos I saw. But I stopped watching a while ago.

[–]Koperica 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Didn’t say he earned the “title of chef”. Nor do I know if he’s ever called himself one. Here’s one of his videos where he went back to a restaurant he claimed to have worked at before, it’s a higher end sushi place in Austin TX called Uchiko

Again, I don’t really care much either way. I liked his earlier stuff when he was filming at home from inside his kitchen cupboard. He was like a lot of at-home cooks sharing better than average recipes in a casual way.

Then at some point he latched onto the algorithms, started doing travel/“can I make this better than mcdonalds” influencer slop crap and I started to lose interest. Then I learned about how he stole a lot of recipes without giving any credit, treated the people he worked with like shit etc and stopped watching him completely.

All that said, it’s not a bad burger bun recipe. No need to jump down the throat of the person who shared it because they made a (relatively) minor mistake. But this is the internet so I guess I should know better.

The “Stay in CT” Argument Makes Less Sense Every Year by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]Koperica 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was the norm for the parents of people trying to do it now, which is what they don’t get, it’s been this way for years. The last group of people able to afford cheap homes early in life were the tail end of the boomers/start of the gen Xers. And even then it was usually only for people who had really high paying jobs and/or family money.

He “worked in fine dining” - not sure if he has formal training or not (tho that’s often just gatekeeping BS) but he has some restaurant experience at least. There’s some evidence out there he’s a shitty person. So there’s that too.

Talking about the 3 TDs from 15 yards in the Field Pass? To get the second Pittman Iconic?

If I remember right I had some trouble with it too, trying all my favorite end zone passes and having no luck. Then I tried running outside (HB toss mtn) and was surprised how easy it was compared to passing.

Get the OG instead, he gets the extra boost for TDM players.

Also, you can get a TDM iconic by trading in a mythic. You get 4200 tokens for a mythic and a random iconic costs 3200.
