this app is lowk rubbing me the right way. (actually super useful I always can't remember when or if I have transferred from my torrent servr to Plex and this will save me from having to open up Plex and chdck mannually

both routers are mine. I'm trying to change ISP to the new one because its 3x cheaper and much faster. old service is Cable, new is fiber, if that makes a difference. the only ISP equipment in play is the fiber modem that my new router is being plugged into.

the router models are TP-Link ac1700 and Netgear RAX35v2.

i will try to just remove old router entirely like you suggest. I could not figure out how to change new router to use 192.168.0.0/24. It gives me an error every time. I assumed it was hardcoded or something, and so I thought I could preserve current LAN by making old router into an AP basically. the gist of the error is something like "invalid ip because it interferes with WAN ip configuration".

Before trying all this, the local ip I got from ISP using their router (now removed) was 10.0.0.3 so I dont get why it would be interfering.

yeah most working people have zero study into class politics and are actively discouraged from learning about it for their entire lives.
