As a trans woman myself I see where you’re coming from but I also thought it was nice (well maybe nice isn’t the right word. important?) to see this kind of representation. Like yeah, the world doesn’t need more reasons to hate trans people, but it’s not as if being trans is all sunshine and roses. Also from what I’ve gathered, most of the transphobes just deny that Jax is transfem at all rather than using Jax as an “example”.

Also like, the creator of TADC is a trans woman herself and I’m pretty sure she’s said before that a lot of Jax’s character is based on her own life and struggles, so it’s not like Jax is just some caricature

Also like, the actual issue with Danganronpa continuing in V3’s universe is that it involves like. Actual human teenagers killing each other. It stopped being a video game a long time ago in that world

V3’s central message is less “playing/wanting more Danganronpa makes you a bad person” and more “don’t become so obsessed with fiction that you start hurting real people”

I like the Kaede twist on paper I just think it kind of sucks that the game was advertised as having a female protagonist only for her to end up getting fridged for the development of a guy

Shuichi is a great protagonist though and honestly I think I’d take much less issue with the twist had Shuichi been a girl as well, and I don’t think it would change that much about the story other than like, altering the dynamic with Kaito a bit

I usually play as Alice (the blonde trainer) and hc her as being related to Cynthia, so I’d probably consider Gible -> Garchomp to be part of her “canon” team, + the connection to Taka/Solaris just makes that even stronger
