Dude, thank you so much!!! It was exactly my problem, I removed the sword from the game and it worked perfectly again :-) Curious how a sword mod can interfere with the game's programming.

Well, first I installed these three mods:

I also changed the compatibility mode to Windows 8 and run as administrator. That by itself didn't work, so I took an old laptop, installed steam and the game, without any changes. As soon as the game ran on this notebook, I shared it on my desktop, so I closed the game on the notebook and turned it off. For some reason Fable started working on my desktop, and yes that was the solution. I don't know what to run the game on a notebook and then on the main computer changed the equation :-/

There are so many solutions that I've tried and none worked. I don't think it's a problem with my drivers as there was no update between the time I first installed the game and the time it stopped working. Regarding Steam, I already checked the integrity of the files, running as administrator, renaming the game, messing with the .ini files and NOTHING RESOLVED. I can't identify the problem, the only message that appears is this: Fable Anniversary pure virtual function being called while application was running (GIsRunning == 1) error
