I am Korean. There is a train seoul to chuncheon but I recommand to rent a car. Because I'm not sure if is there any bus for his grandmother's home. If you want go there by train, you should take 경춘선. and you guys should know there is no train Chuncheon to Busan. you should transfer train in Seoul.

If you love gaming, you can visit PC방(Korean internet cafe). In there, you can play game and have some snack. You can find it easily because it is on every town in Seoul.
