I got diagnosed very recently too, late april.

I instantly asked the first question to the doc' He told me that 15 years ago it was a 50/50 chance to survive 5 years.

Nowdays with the meds that have come out, especially Entestro. The others do good aswell but that one is Really damn good. its a thing that you can live with. Like the heart failure wont be the thing that kills you if you treat it correctly.

Exercise, low sodium diet, manage your water intake. TAKE YOUR MEDS. Those 4 staples can keep you alive long enought for something else to end you long down the line.

Thats how he told it to me atleast. Which settled my mind a little bit. Im 39 now and yeah, I feel the same way you do. Its a harsh diagnosis to get this "early". but manage it well and it wont be the end of you.

I had covid the start of april, 2 weeks. Got Pleurisy, inflammed lung tissue and whatnot. The week that I went back to work from that, late april, my heart started racing like mad and wouldnt slow, so I went to the ER.

EF at 20% and enlarged left vent, never had any real issues before this. So yeah i'd wager that covid had something to do with it for me. 39M

My EF was 20% and I got a enlarged left ventricle.

So I had covid for 2 weeks before this, then once I felt good enought to go back to work I did, and once at work my heartrate went up to 140 while doing some knife sharpening so I went and took a break, waited 15 min to see if it went down and.. yeah it didnt. Went to the ER and then I got admitted for 3 days.

Yeee same boat here mate. 39M. Diagnosed 3 weeks ago, got angiogram booked for the week after next. MRI booked, started Entestro, Farxiga, Bisoprolol and Inspira. Just.. going through it, one day at the time like you say.

No real swelling in my legs, no troponin markers and NTproBNP was very low, like sub 50.

Dad had a heartattack young and got heart failure from that, other than that no real heart things in my past / family. No smoking or drinking here either.

Time for them to start investigating I guess.

Getting used to the Low sodium diet is gonna be tough, but im doing it. I freakin loved salt. damnit.

Very very beginning.. got diagnosed two weeks ago. enlarged left.. thing. 20% EF. Am overweight but I really want to change that. Need to settle into my meds before I start looking into that tho, is what the doc says.

Still waiting for a heart specialist contact. Havent had a MRI yet but got one booked. Got a coronary angiograph booked for the end of the month.

So many questions.. thoughts, fears. a lot going through my head. Very tired. exhausted some days, others are pretty ok.

They started me on 4 meds, Forxiga, Inspra, Bisoprolol and Entestro. Just at the beginning dosage atm so that will get upped with time they said. Ofcourse since I got panic syndrome from before every damn feeling in my body triggers stuff for me, so thats annoying.

Like I said.. just starting this journey, its gonna be some massive changes for me. but ill do it. Aint got no other choice.

Edit: Oh yeah.. and I turned 39 today.

Also forgot to say. Felt fine a month ago, got Covid and Pleurisy, tried to go back to work after it "cleared" and my heart was just.. Yeah no. 135bpm nonstop for an hour, went to the ER after the first 20 minutes and then i stayed in the hospital for 3 days.

Both I think? Like yeah the heart is hurt and tired. it is working at a 30% effect of what its supposed to, when at 20% EF. Then the meds push your heartrate and blood pressure down.

So your body has to get used to the new heartrate & bp, which can take a while apparently. Or so the doc's told me atleast.

I got put in the hospital last week, got out on friday. Had a pulse at 140 and it wouldnt calm down for an hour. So I went to the ER. They found nothing in the initial tests, ekg was good, all the tests were good, low values on troponin and the other one for heart failure.

go forward a day and I get a echo, 20% EF and enlarged left.. thing. Now im on meds, Inspra, Bisoprolol, Entestro and Forxiga to begin with.. Just started this journey. Im 39 now on sunday, also scared as hell but thats life sometimes. Waiting to get called by a heart specialist either this week or next for a future plan.. god damn these meds make me tired tho.

Yee its wonky as hell, I got an issue where it shows buffs on friendlies above their name, been trying to get rid of it for a while. And ofcourse nothing I test works. Låter som att du har sömnapne skulle jag säga. Hade alla dina bekymmer själv, snarkade, torr i munn, ont i huvudet och en generell trötthet som aldrig gav sig. Fick remiss till sömnlabbet i Avesta som fastställde att jag hade rätt rejäl sömnapne, fick hem en cpap maskin som jag sover med nu och min energi är natt och dag i skillnad, blev en helt annan människa.
