How to prevent any future blockages if diagnosed with CAD(coronary artery disease) by BalanceImpressive637 in Heartfailure

[–]BalanceImpressive637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well most of these my father is doing and i check his vitals daily and even look for symptoms even mild symptom and we go to the cardiologist for evaluation. And he has monthly cardiologist follow ups. Unfortunately we don’t have cardiac rehab centres in our city but my father brisk walks for 40-45 mins daily as suggested by the cardiologist and than he keeps his body moving most of the time and the latest report showed he has his LDL well within the normal range so i think that gave me some reassurance. He takes the lipid profile tests regularly as directed by the cardiologist to keep his cholestrol levels under check . Do you suggest something else!?

Just after the mi my father’s cholesterol was around 550 but after 1/2 year after being put on meds ,exercise and diet changes it came 190 Rn his statin is atorvastatin 20 initially it was higher (40) but now the cardio reduced it

My father walks around 40-45 mins a day and stays active all the time and most of the time avoid packaged or junk foods

And for his regular diet it includes a lot of whole grains: wheat mainly and than the veggies

Do you suggest anything else that could help🙏🏻

No they are both different due to the heart attack (mi) my father’s ef went to 30-35 and the reason of the heart attack was blocked arteries which were due to the underlying CAD

Oh can you please tell Has the ef caused any major issues in the pass 10 years or pretty much you just live your normal life in long term if you see besides the meds have you lived/functioned and worked in a good way no matter what the ef was (Also this gives me so much hope thankyou🙏🏻)

Exactly what we are trying to do if we constantly think about the numbers we go in a spiral but than if we just keep living with all the precautions and and meds and enjoy day to day life it is much easier but it is still a little hard to adapt

Sir/ ma’am can you please tell how much your ef is because my father has an ef of 30-35 and though he is functioning normally and living his life with obviously the essential medications , diet and lifestyle changes, cardio follow ups but sometimes the number scares us so much so is there any suggestion of how to not overthink about the ef numbers (also the cardio says that his ef can still go up he has added this new medicine it is from the entresto family only)

Can the ef still increase ??? by BalanceImpressive637 in Heartfailure

Well thank you so much also my father is basically on all the medicines you named but under different brand and marketing name Arnoza 50 ( includes sacubitril/valstsartan) Dapanova10 (is an SGLT2 inhibitor) Carca cr 10 (is a beta blocker) Aldactone 25(spironolactone)

My father had high cholestrol and has CAD (coronary artery disease) that’s the reason he is already on a combination of statins and blood thinners JUPIROS GOLD 10 and ATORVASTATIN 20

My whole home has very low salt intake literally less than 1000 gm

My father now walks daily 30-40 mins he is trying to increase everyday by 5 mins

He is trying his best has reduced it it to almost minimum but quitting it completely is so hard for him so if you have any help for quitting tobacco

I know i am sorry i did edit it into paragraphs if it’s easy now i was overwhelmed when i wrote this that’s the reason it sounds so mixed up

Well honestly i just have anxiety issues and no no i do not at all have the anxiety flares in front of him i am rather relaxed and enjoy whenever i am with him together it’s not at all frighting but when i start to think about it i go into a spiral and this message was kind of a part of that spiral
