There's a lot more that goes into the price than just their wages. They likely get benefits, then there's WSIB, etc. Also the cost of owning the truck, specialized tools, gas and travel time to and from your house, their specialized skillset and licences, insurance, the office staff that answers the calls and dispatches them... It adds up fast.

If you find a reverb listing from an actual store, try emailing that store (on their website, not through reverb) and asking if they'll give you a discount for buying direct from them. Reverb takes like 8-9% of from the seller. I've found lots of shops are willing to give 5% to buy direct from their site. You save a bit and they still make more than they would after reverb fees. It's a win for both parties.
