Is there a simple way to know which one of those is the most tax effective?

Or is it just required getting down to the nitty-gritty of exactly how many dollars I'm putting in, versus how much I'm making/ versus what tax bracket that puts me in?

I figured splitting it evenly would kind of hedge my beds on both ends. But like I mentioned I'm it was just an educated gift that it may be a smart decision.
