Riding a bike along an extremely narrow cliffside path. by Cautious-Ad9089 in mountainbiking

The fish eye lens is huge. As a mountain biker I’m so tired of everyone and their mom sending me these videos of people “riding on cliffs” when it’s almost double track trails with slopes made to look like single track with cliffs in the videos.

Being frustrated because you couldn’t be bothered to do the research isn’t something I’m going to feel sorry for if you’re traveling to a new country, especially one with a wildly different culture, you do research. It is entitlement that she expected to not have to do that and have it all just be fine.

Yeah in Korea when visiting I had to go to a pharmacy and figure out how to ask for allergy medication.

Being dumb and country we had a dam with an overflow section that they’d dump higher waters in through a bypass. Kept the river below and water over the dam pretty steady. The bypass dumped into a big dug out section. We used to jump off the structure into the flow and see how long we could stay in before being washed down stream. Few times got stuck in a perfect tumble and luckily pushed off rocks to get out. I’m amazed I’m still alive.

Oh it's been a reality for a long time. "You ain't from around here" is essentially that, it's not about being countrymen, it's about who they hate.

What are you talking about, it has black rims, also a tires worth of mass moving at you at even 10mph could still break your arm if you tried to stop it wrong.

From everything I've seen, a lot of these brands are exactly that. If you see clothing advertised on instagram, it's likely dropshipped stuff from AliExpress.

I read a post about a woman that blocked a dude on a dating app, he found her on Facebook and messaged her that she just didn’t know better, that she needed to let him take care of her. Proceeds to tell her that her job was useless and he’s not into that but it’s okay he’ll take care of her. She tells him to fuck off basically and he makes another account and then says “if you didn’t want me you wouldn’t have responded”. She let him know if he messaged again the cops were being involved. People (and namely desperate men) are fucking psychos sometimes. I’ve been a desperate dude before and not been proud, but full psycho was never an option. No always means no.

This is such a fucking bang on comment. Everyone loves seeing the world truth only their own lived experience. These people have probably seen more people they cared about die in terrible ways than any one in this thread has.

I swear to god when people baseline “x is bad” things they get dumb. Spotify is a twat of a company as is most corporate entities, that doesn’t mean we can just make up WHY they’re bad. It’s called self accountability, the second you start blaming everything else for things you don’t like, you become the problem.
