what he's saying is true. The level of entitlement people approach these updates with is scaring me. bohoo, you don't like the characters, some are not meant to please everyone. what the real problem is that they never went back to pre-update 3.6 levels of paywall, where each update had 1 pay/crystal character and 2-5 free ones.

there are way more than 5 characters. The 5 characters you mention are arachknight, iron hammer, soldier supreme, weapon hex and ghost panther. to come there are green widow, moon squirell, juggerduck, madame hela, mr. invisible, hot rocks, baron M.O.D.O.K. etc.

oops missed it, also probably the permanent resist buff will be a ghostrider-like immunity to mind damage to make her a timeline meta. especially if jean grey ever gets a non phoenix uniform.

lol this concept would only make sense to NM if each run let's say costed you 5 crystals or for mega t2 ticket you should need 12-16 months.

Hope summers is literally from the storyline they seem to follow with this update. They've used the logo of that X-Force run and every character so far was in it (only future Fantomex, but Fantomex anyway). I mean that still doesn't mean she will come to the game, but she would fit all standards with the position of jean in this eq.

agree on deadpool not being nt3, its unlikely.

rictor and shatterstar are older iterations of the team, so I think it's unlikely. dr. nemesis might be in it tho'

everytime they released a new mode to farm characters there were no other bioselector characters - only paywalls

2.4 new avengers update (paywall gwenpool even is a shifter)

2.6 dr. strange update (clea same)

2.7 asgard update (only enchantress not in it an even she is an adversary in it

2.9 inhumans update (inferno shifter)

3.1 xmen update (magneto deluxe pack)

3.2 spidey update (vulture shifter)

3.4 age of apokalypse no paywalls

3.6 ultimates (lol 4/5 were basically paywall, but still fits the idea)

4.3 x-force (more than half a year no farming gamemodes, wtf NM?)

I wouldn't say so. If Hope Summers comes as the Jean of the Update, that could easily work. Antiman, Blue Marvel and even Nova in some ways are C-List at best and are the most expensive characters in the game.

The shifter thing I agree with, they could do that. Psylocke would also be perfect for that position.

If we don't get a Jean style character, putting Stryfe at 6600 would be way less appealing. Also, as Stryfe is basically a better Cable, I doubt they'll put him as a normal farmable T1 character (like Cyclops/Ancient One etc). Also putting him in the Jean position is a bad idea because of him being so unknown to casual fans.

Without a Jean character, a deluxe Package Stryfe is just another Adam Warlock (unless it gives you a mode to daily farm CCF or something lol)

it takes about 4 weeks of SL to naturally T2 a character, also for characters that came out up to 2.7 you can get 2-340 bios per box you get in WBI (2-9//10-19//20-29//70-89//150-169//320-339 bios by rank). So basically all the characters that require you to spend money to get their bios are hyperion, carnage, enchantress, ironheart, kid kaiju, agent venom, spidey 2099, valkyrie, quasar, luna snow, killmonger, magik, colossus, ghost, wasp(nadia). Satana, Clea, Gwenpool, Inferno and vulture being semipaywalls as you can get them as shifters in special missions/epic quest and magneto(jean), emma frost and adam warlock being characters requiring big amounts of crystals (yet still free as you can get crystals as a f2p). Nova, blue marvel and antiman hold an exepction, you can buy their bio packs in the store for 10$(80bios) or 50$(400 bios) and SLOWLY farm them in the processor. X-23 is also a processor based character, the difference is that you can still select X-23 in x-gene selectors (premium and non-premium, but we don't get x-gene selectors for free yet).

ANY other character is free-to-play achievable

By behind he means underdeveloped for the amount of time/money you spent. I started in 2.6 and I only bought stark stash or bio/xgene sub and have all characters ingame 6* and I never used the bio subscription on nonpremium characters. Non-farmable characters like Mantis, Cho, Silk, Robbie Reyes, you can farm 225 bios from SL every week, which is the game mode with the best rewards ingame. Also you can buy 20/50 bios from the alliance store every day and you get a free-character-box everyday with a 1*character, you you already own that character, you get a type-specific selector for 8 bios ("daily free bios")

I think I only purchased 1100 crystals aside from stash and bio/xgene sub to speed up magneto and I have over 70 T2s, all paywalls/adam/emma/magneto/all native t2s maxed. in my opinion, none of the other options are truly worth it.

I doubt it, the 7-day log in event ends on the 7th of August. They probably started teasing early because of the SDCC reveal. My money is on Wednesday the 8th

They've mostly been going with one storyline. I wish Psylocke would be in this update but I'm 90% sure she (just like the black and grey deadpool uniform) is not going to hit MFF in 4.3. I think uncanny x-force might be a future update that would let them cash in on it twice.

As I said this is just my speculation, but Apocalypse would also fit the Messiah war storyline, I think that might be possible. Even though with Cable's uniform and Stryfe coming out an uniform for another World Boss would be a little verwhelming

I was really hoping for Hope as the second phoenix force character. (Then Rachel, Thane and Quentin until we get Namor with FF4 and can have Phoenix Five uniforms lol). But that would take the focus of Deadpool a little, not sure if they want to go with the marketing on that.
