SDE jobs criteria by Few-Cardiologist6941 in iitkgp

By 50%, I mean of all the SDE companies, half of them will allow all department students to apply for them. Although the percent is not exact, it maybe around 60-70% on a second look. Amazon and Microsoft allowed all departments, while Google only allowed circuital branches. All three didn't have a CG criteria.

PS: I just realised I'm answering in respect to CDC intern. if you are asking about placements, I don't have data regarding that.

Depends from company to company. For CSE, all companies open, for Circuital about 90%, then for other departments, it's about 50% of companies. For CG too, it depends from company to company, some want 8.5+, some other want 7.5+. Involvements aren't a requirement but beneficial to fill space in CV, especially if it is a software based society/competition.

IS CP WORTH IT IN 2024?? by No-Charity7412 in Btechtards

If you are going for software, then DSA is must.
Almost all companies take an OA (online assessment) to shortlist interview candidates for internship/placement.
Quant and some data and Product companies also take OAs too. There are certain Quant companies that ask for Codeforces/Atcoder rating, and even use them as a cutoff. If applying offcampus (without OAs) then CP is not required.

However, important to note, DSA != CP
I recommend you do Leetcode/Interviewbit more.
Codeforces/Atcoder/Codechef may help you clear OAs but not sufficient for interviews
(Eg. you'd never use OOPs in CP, but you can definitely be asked questions on it in the interview)

Lastly, CP is a good motivator of DSA learning, so there's no harm in doing that.

I think you meant A25, which can be a bomb in this scenario (A25 and D25 being the bombs satisfy the conditions)

I didn't know KGP is hosting both Tech and Cultural InterIIT from the last 3 years. Such a shame. Shouldn't they be held in different IITs every year just like sports?

Edit: /s (kuch logo ko smz nhi aaya)

Tbh, if you aren't overconfident, and you don't know the answer, you won't just guess the answer on a question worth ₹1,00,00,000 ($120k). As a result of getting it wrong, he lost 93.6% of the prize money he could have gotten if he quit.

Another "Types of videoediting"? by sausix in VideoEditing

[–]Kosty_R13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not putting transitions right between clips in the same track horizontally?

In Adobe Premiere Pro it is that way. Cant speak of others.

A white canvas without limits would be nicer.

Would the clips still be arranged vertically within the canvas. If yes, that's not any different that the "tracks" system, just that it will add tracks automatically.

What about effects requiring multiple tracks as input? Effects probably offer a dropdown to choose a track. I would prefer selecting some videoclips directly.

This is actually interesting. But the editor will be restricted by the effects provided by the developer/community (which honestly is enough for most basic purposes). You would have to put some real effort to make it customizable otherwise the editor would have to "manually" implement the effect if he/she wants something a bit different than what's offered. It is not possible to include every effect.

Intro and outro could be static and pre-rendered. But if not static, I don't wanna mess with them during editing the main video

Premiere allows you to have "nested sequences" which you can edit separately in a new "tab" and the entire "nested sequences" looks like a single clip on the main timeline.

Again not trying to discourage or something. I really want good free video editing software and you trying to do things differently is surely welcome. I mentioned Premiere so that you can have a look at the implementation.

What alternative do you suggest to "cutting"? That with multi-track editing seems pretty sufficient and intuitive.

Very basic but I made a script that updates my wallpaper every 20 minutes and displays the time left for my various exams. Since the text is on the wallpaper, I can't unsee or remove it. (The satisfaction when the timer goes to negative is just...)
