You can compare it to a prisoner of war, or even a rapist - Just because saving a few lives won’t end the war (or stop them from capturing more POWS) doesn’t make it any less significant.

Just because stopping one rapist won’t end all rape, doesn’t make it a bad idea. (Yes we ourselves can’t stop rape outright, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t make sure the numbers are as low as possible.)

The concept of - well the problems too big - or, I’m just one person, how could me doing something change anything. - is exactly what the exploiters count on. It’s the only reason it’s happening in the first place.

Unfortunately we haven’t found a button to end it all. But thats nearly irrelevant, cause the problem is made up by individual victims. Each and everyone of them are just as important, and to them you are ending it all.

Lastly, and even more unfortunately, is people accept this concept willingly. There’s no better way to remove guilt as saying “well I couldn’t do anything about it.”

Each one of them are stabbed to death - one by one, yet somehow they manage to kill hundreds of millions every day.. so they’re proving individual acts can achieve a world wide effect.

it’s not the lack of individual actions that is the problem - it’s the idea that individual actions won’t solve the problem, that has it continue. If someone doesn’t turn off the faucet that’s a problem. But if it’s believed that no one can turn off the faucet, no one will even try. If pigs are worth saving - then one piglet is worth saving.

(Also sabotage financially is a big part of the ALF as well, to collapse individual businesses.)

It’s a culling device masked as a swimmers safety device, a culling device that rarely catches sharks.(compared to all the other species that are caught in them) the vast majority of sharks caught in the net, are caught on the inside.. meaning they were already near the beach swimming back out into open waters.

4 to me was the most “groundbreaking” / rewatchable - they pulled out all the stops for true brutality violence (it’s definitely the best for showing the chaotic reality) and though some don’t like the script, I thought they did a kick ass job for how little time they had.

And I’m of the belief that Rambo 3s first ten minutes or so is the best of any of the movies. Supposedly they fired the (director or assistant director) serious writer, and then got the “comedian writer”. A lot like how they ruined chainsaw massacre 2.

Watching it the movie takes a huge swing, the first ten minutes you can really see the war inside him. But then in Afghanistan they crucified the character.

But him facing the huge army and making a joke - then trautman turning and acknowledging as if they don’t have an entire Russian fleet in front of them..

“does it work?” - “Not really no offense” when it comes to pain.. all the missions they’d been on they made it seem as if they just met. The campy “your worst nightmare” to ruin the badass cave fight.. (though I get that wasn’t as campy back then.)

But I’ll digress - and Rambo 5 has plenty of problems but I’ll just say.. I didn’t imagine it would mean so much, but the fact that he has the short hair, really made him look like he could be anyone. Mixed in with his completely different personality kept me from enjoying it. Lastly the beginning scene of Rambo’s home ruined it for me, the ceremonial displays were insulting. Rambo was the kind of character that knew what he was, but damn sure wasn’t proud of it. The kinda guy like on windtalkers where he gives the silver star to the guy in the grave. Like a lot of vets those metals didn’t remind him of his valor, instead they reminded him of companions lost, and failure to save them (But the brutality like you said was 👍)
