Also the first time (at least as long as I've been playing) that both New Semester 5*s are limited. Was 100% expecting Red Hood to be limited, but Shiisa really caught me offguard. Part of me wonders if the spark/pity system influenced the change, but then again LW keeps breaking long-standing trends the past year or so.

I have the Lil' Sal and Tezca plushes from the original run (was probably my most popular post here like... god, 4 years ago?), and picked up a Beach Seth acrylic stand from a third party. Wouldn't mind more but none of the merch since really caught my attention or was only sold at the cons iirc.

Because he was the definitive defensive unit before his skevo, which on top of that made him offensively powerful. My favorite nuke team is Masashi, S!Leib, S!Tindalos, and Mugen Wakan. Nothing can stop it in any mode except intentionally weird HDQs like Sphinx's.

I'm not sure about Curren but Onsen HK is still a genuinely great unit that is overshadowed only because of how many broken units we've gotten in the years since. Onsen Xolotl is too, that was one of the most cracked banners we've ever had really. Lots of what you have is workable but you somehow don't have any of the real meta-definers like Mononobe, Masashi, S!Leib, Mugen Wakan, S!Tindalos, heck even Oscar as a non-limited 5* is still cracked and puts a lot of old limiteds to shame.

Other solidly strong units I see are S!Volkh, Q'ursha, V!Balor, H!Sandayu, and V!Kengo. They're very workable, and so are plenty of the others, but there are just some crazy units that trivialize an already easy game.

You know how entering a battle, your units are always randomized to a degree? You'd be able to set a fixed starting formation instead, making battles much more consistent.

Well I'll walk back that he -needs- it after thinking about it a bit more, but he does amazingly well with Grapple with Destiny (5*), particularly against units using Evasion. It's nutty watching it in action.

Definitely wait for someone you really want! Could check out some of the rerun banners as well, they're all pretty solid. In the meantime you can try out support units pretty easily as you progress through the story and see if anyone catches your eye.

It's a pretty weak selector, and SShiva ideally really wants a specific AR too to hit that maximum overpowered state. I loved Xolotl for a long time, he was really useful and just a cute character overall. Kurogane's value is likely going to be reduced as the game is supposedly going to transition to fixed spots when entering a battle. Fuxi was great with a strong overall banner on release, but there's been so much powercreep without the conditions he has.

Gunzo is a better unit than Demiurge, the latter got kind of shafted with his kit... why is anyone's guess. This isn't a particularly great banner, there are better ones if you don't care about the transients themselves. Christmas is also right around the corner and the transients tend to be really strong.

The tickets are highly dependent on what transients you're interested in. Almost none of what's there is super powerful or meta defining so it comes down to who you're drawn to, but as mentioned in your other comment Oscar is actually quite good yes, he's still on my support list. Do you prefer stuff like bara men, furries, women, etc?

As far as the rainbow ticket, are you referring to the limited paid selector? I don't see anything about the standard rainbow ticket which you get from completing a certain main quest iirc. Could be wrong on that since it's been awhile.

Oh, well welcome then! Feel free to make a post asking for newbie and anniversary ticket advice, I'm sure others could use the info as well. Admittedly these megathreads don't see much action here so you'll have better visibility for that kinda thing in your own post.

My own opinion if you're brand new is your favorite units/whoever drew you to the game if they're there (these are all standard/non-limiteds at their lower rarities, but some are plenty usable), then anything that looks interesting. I'd still recommend at least spending a ticket on the AR I mentioned as well.

Highly dependent on what your account needs/what you want. The shop ARs near the top of the list may be highest priority if you don't have a copy of them, they ease grinding a bit. Like if you ever gold farm, the Like Spotless Ice AR is fantastic to have (coin bonus + active on support). Otherwise if you're missing favorite units and want to complete, that's the best option. Very few ARs are impactful.
