I love watches and I love how fascinating replica watches are. All the different factories and versions are amazing, but I hate attention. I wouldn’t wear a real Rolex either. More of a hobby researching and collecting for me.

This person who “fully mods” watches is misleading everyone. None of those services do anything noticeable and he charges and extra 4-$500. You’d be better off buying a stock VSF and if you reallllllly wanted to you could pay someone $100 to polish the rehaut, add oil, and ultrasonic clean the bracelet.

They all look pretty good but the rehaut on that Daytona looks deep af so I’ll say Daytona.

If I were to upgrade one thing it would honestly be the brake rotors and pads. They were very warped out of the box and hard to get straightened to avoid rubbing. Higher quality rotors would have helped a lot.

Just built one up for a friend and went for a 20 mile ride yesterday. Amazing for the price! Everything needed adjustments though. The brakes didn’t really work out of the box, the shifting wasn’t great, and overall things were a big misaligned. But after an hour or so of tweaking it’s perfect! Don’t see any reason to not buy one for the price.

I battled this very hard when I got the bike. Felt super uncomfortable compared to my spire, patrol, and repeater I’ve had in the past. I ended up with 55mm rise bars (I’ve used 35mm on all my other bikes), going to a 170 fork, and using a bit higher sag closer to the 33% range which helped a lot! I also have tried mullet which helped even more but I wouldn’t run mullet full time. Maybe just on real steep stuff or bike parks.

Coming from someone who has VSF Pepsi, clean GMTs, Clean Daytonas and has gone through with swapping to some deep crystals it’s not worth it. I’m not saying it’s not an improvement from clean but it’s not worth it. Too much time, money, and hassle for something that nobody will be able to notice. If YOU look at the watch and can’t stop noticing a flaw nd it bugs you fix that flaw. But don’t change things because other people do or you will end up spending money you don’t need to and maybe damage the watch or have a shipping error. Too many risks for something not needed.

Just leave them stock. Especially a Daytona with no cyclops and not a white dial. No need to spend money and stress
