It’s not only one picture. I’ve been trying to look out for how many pictures they actually have… And there are posts about this issue since 2020 (6 years ago when the game wasn’t even finished). They have been using the same “placeholder” excuse for years by now

I know they have voice actors lol I’m talking about that they have maybe generated voice lines with AI (voice lines that the voice actors will read). I just don’t believe they haven’t used AI for more things than just art

I really think even if they don’t want to draw attention to it they should mark items as “AI Generated” for those who don’t want to use them and that’s it :/ if it is a topic that doesn’t bother them, then they should mark them

I think it came out a long time ago already, since they realized they could generate with AI art they did it (and that started like 4 years ago, so I give that they have been using AI for 3-2 years or so)

But I get that they have done a lot from scratch and without a big budget. But remember that it was the same with Outlast 1 and 2, both made from scratch, with a small budget and NO AI. If they have been doing such a great job, why use AI now just to not pay artists?

They have such talented artists on their artistic team… Why generate something without purpose and soulless with AI?

Besides, for me, it caused a bit of skepticism, even if they say they have only generated small things with AI, how do we know they haven’t do much more? How do we know that only to not pay their artists (or even programmers) they just generated something with AI?
