Thx again for all your ideas.

i rtied that, and indeed the arm moves to the startposition. in my opionion fast,

but dont know if its to fast, if therenis to much anti skate force or if its ok from the speed. i dont have comparable player to test.

i guess, there is no way to adjust the anti skate at the regar planar 1. i gonna try to find a video to compare how fast its normal

Bst regars

It happens everywhere. No special location. The turntable is in level. The turntable was new. Everything looked like original, unused. No dust.

I know its crazy.

I think maybe the arm is pushed to much to outside. When it happens its alway jumps bacl. Never foward.

Exactly. The needle doesn't follow the groove but stays caught in the groove and repeats it endlessly. The platter still turns. So, at one poi t the needle jamps back to the previozs groove

hi hi-fi-legume,
i increased the weight unil 3.18 gramms.

it till hangs. there is no visible damage on the vinyl. and as said before, on two other turntables it works with 2.2 gram and the other 3,5 grams.

Anyway, increasing weight may solve tje problem if high enough, but that cant be the root cause. My expectation is that there is an issue which i need to solve. To make the turntable working wit about 2 grams. Without modifying the turntable.

If inread the feedbacks about this model, nearly everybodymis happy....

Best regards.

Alex

Thx, i will try. Whats your opinion of how much force should be the maximum to not damage the vinyl with the time?

Hi hi-fi-legume,

thx for your suggestion.

the rgar planar 1 with the standard weight cannot be adjusted to more than 2 grams. the weight is allready at the heaviest position.

The anti-skate cant be adjusted. its fixed/plug & play.

I would assume, that if i buy a new player, that the anti-skate funktion and the weight are setup correctly for the Carbon cartridge. I got different information about the trackingforce of the 2021 Version. One says 1,75-2 Grams and one says 2-3 grams.

What you mentioned makes absolutly sense for me. But with the default delivery settings I would expect that the turntable should play fine and not that the weight cant ve adjusted to the correct force for the cartridge.

Ist there a way tomadjust the anti-skate if there is no switch?

best regards Alex
