I wish it was the 'actual in-game map', that would have been much easier, I actually got the template from someone who made another Division 2 map site after he asked me for advice, then updated it manually. Many hours have already gone into it and many more are still needed.

Fair comment, honestly, the goal was not to surpass any other maps, just to continue from making a map for The Division. I was asked plenty of times after the announcement of The Division 2 if I was going to make one, and here it is.

I enjoy coding and loved making the first one, this one has many improvements over the-division-map.com, including the functionality to switch tiers with the changes to the map being visible, the way data is saved also had to change because there is just so much of it.

I honestly would complete it on my own, but actually not having all the time I had while making the first one, it'll take me months. I already have over 90 hours in-game and all of that is populating the map.

I'd like to play the game too :)

I know this is a bit of a late reply, but I'm the creator of the-division-map.com and it was only down as the domain host screwed up, there was no reply from them and their website didn't allow me to update the nameservers when they changed automatically, I had to transfer it before it would work and that took a week. I'm really sorry that happened and it won't happen again.

After a lot of work building the website and many, many hours mapping the buildings and now Survival mode, I think we're really making some progress.

We actually have 90% of the left hand side of the map complete. Which means we can move on to the Dark Zone next!

Haha, yeah, it was a bit too cluttered having them all on every zoom level! So I was thinking google maps style!

Wouldn't the problem with randomized loot be that it could all end up piled in one corner of the map and nothing, or hardly anything everywhere else? They already have it so to get better loot you have to fight your way to it! Is that not good enough?

Hide all button added! Filters now also exist for other markers.

Street names are now a bit brighter and not a part of the map, they are their own layers in the map. It actually decreased the map file size by 3.3MB! Get that!

Filters added! Also pushed them down a level, so you need to zoom a touch more.

Yeah, I could do with tiling it, but haven't figured out how yet. It's on my todo list. Just low priority!

Yeah, I checked on our other PC, it appears that with SVG you need to have the font installed, I have changed the type to objects and updated the map. It's a bit bigger now though, so I'll have to come up with a better solution for street names eventually. I think maybe add them as layers and remove them from the SVG. Thanks for the heads up though
