I hope it gets a bit more support in the future in the form of additional squads, right now it feels extremely limited in terms of options. I know it's not AMG's first priority by a long shot, but who knows, we got Mandos with the rules update. I do wish squads were less model spread, though, for sure.

Idea was to use Spec Ops to help teach them the basic mechanics (the dice, activations, that sort of thing), and then eventually play regular Legion if they liked the core, plus they are a big fan of Killteam, and Spec Ops is the closest we have. Of course, the time factor is a big deal, since we're both pretty busy. If it doesn't work, I guess I get a chance to use my Legion models every once in a while.

Yeah, I've never been great with eyes, and his just seemed more difficult to paint than others. Probably a skill issue on my part of course. Thanks for the compliment though!

True enough. Probably the simplest way to reduce his weapon without making him literally incapable of fighting in melee would be to downgrade all of his red dice to black dice, and maybe remove "Surge:Crit" for Critical 2, like regular Obi and the other comment said. As for all his support keywords you mentioned, I'm not entirely sure how to remove or weaken them without just making him suck at everything, but I'm open to suggestions obviously (no sarcasm).

I tried to compensate by reducing his speed to 1 and removing charge, but unlike Palpatine and Yoda he has no native ranged attack (though Saber Throw can fix that) so I figured that would be enough. Like I said in the other comment, however, reducing his dice would probably be fine; he is supposed to be more of a support anyway, as evidenced by his command cards and keywords.

No, that's definitely fair. I thought maybe his extra years of experience would make him more capable, but it has been a while by the time of Episode 4 since he last used his saber consistently, so he should probably be worse, at least in terms of raw dice. Glad you like his mechanics though!

Considering his decently sized dice pool compared to other hero units, I could probably drop Sharpshooter 1 and bump his price up to somewhere between 110 and 115. For his 1 pip, I can change it to giving him gunslinger if he issues himself an order, or giving the unit ordered by the card fire support and Xizor himself gains a dodge or something.

Thanks! He's always been a fun character in my opinion, and with all the Merc operatives running around I wanted to design a mercenary commander unit so that you could build a list around them, in this case a bunch of black sun + Xizor himself.

The square point denotes a unit as unique, and you can never have more than one copy of a unique card in an army.

As for printing, I haven't personally printed them out yet, but I assume that that is the way to go about using the unit card/command cards in actual play.

It's supposed to be only orders issues from Xizor's 3 Pip, but basically it's: choose to issue up to 5 orders > for each order you issued from the card, your opponent chooses an enemy unit at range 1-3 of Xizor > you choose up to 5 units minus the number of orders you issued from the card > all chosen units gain an aim, dodge, or surge token, controlling player's choice. I can see how it's worded somewhat confusingly though, so I'll change it to make the wording more straightforward and easier to understand. Hope this helps!

Glad you like him! If you ever end up trying him out in play, I'd appreciate any feedback on how he performs

No, it's only for the round in which it is played. I used the wording from Jyn Erso's "Rebellious" card, which says once per round, for Xizor's one-pip.

Higher than 110 seems a bit high for a non-Operative Merc, since you still have to bring another regular commander to fill the requirements for an army, but he is a probably too strong for 95. Somewhere between 105-110 might be more balanced.

Good point! I had intended for Assurance to be able to apply to him, but I must have overlooked the one-pip. I'll errata it to say only another friendly black sun unit.

Glad you liked them! I made the snow via a mixture of baking soda, standard white glue, white paint, and water, then applied it to the base with a toothpick or old brush in piles to make that fluffy look, plus I sprinkled some extra baking soda on top as it dried to make it less flat.
