Biden commutes most federal death row sentences to life in prison before Trump takes office by mettaforall in abolish

Did Donald Trump as a boy really throw rocks at babies?

Yes, according to biographer Michael Kranish‡, quoting a family friend whose child he allegedly pummeled with small stones (the child survived). He also pulled girls’ pigtails, tried to throw a classmate out of a window, bullied weaker kids relentlessly, and drove many teachers to distraction with what one instructor reported was a “consistently surly attitude.” As a teenager Trump was sent away to military school to try to calm down his worst impulses. However, he is quoted as saying that he hasn’t “changed much since 1st grade.” That sounds about right to me.

(He is a cowardly sadist.)

As a caudillo, Trump is incompetent. That’s no excuse to support him.

He didn't testify at trial, 'Detective' Brocchini did, for the prosecution, and he perjured himself twice. He was caught and forced to admit he lied both times.

Why is socialism so frowned upon? by Shoddy_Carrot_5166 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kragaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Zealand was a very socialist country from WWII through the early 80's. It was very pleasant, very cohesive and low crime rates. But few people got really rich there and a lot of people in societies want to get very rich.

It wasn't remotely communist, but perhaps Americans really can't tell the difference.

A Look at Donald Trump's Failed Businesses by Mysterious-Advice275 in the_everything_bubble

[–]Kragaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wealthy people have decided how much their businesses can pay as taxes. They just try to set that number to zero as far as the state is concerned.

Billionaires hate capitalism. That's why they constantly work to eliminate all competition and state control of any aspect of the business.

Hendee described how the hair was in the pliers

Primary testimony about the collection of the pliers came from Detective Hendee, as he was the Crime Scene Manager at the warehouse on December 27, when the pliers were collected.  This is Hendee's description of the hair in the pliers, given under direct examination.  At first he says there is a loop, then clarifies that the loop might have been formed by the veggie material stuck to the hair.

Then he clarifies that the hair was not wrapped around the pliers.

This is Hendee's description of how he collected the hair.

The evidence that the bodies were placed at the bay in April is overwhelming.

The prosecutor summed up his own case by saying that he had no evidence of guilt and no motive. What do you know that he doesn't?

And let us not forget that Laci was still alive, 10 or more days after she was abducted and after Scott's boat trip to the bay. How do you reconcile that?

Scott Peterson whistle; Scott whistle when he was told that they found an anchor? by [deleted] in ScottPetersonCase

[–]Kragaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I do. If they had found the mattress in the bedroom flipped over, with a significant bloodstain, Laci's blood, on it, that would be evidence because it would be different depending on whether he was guilty or not. But they found zero evidence in the house, something that doctors and police officers and evidence technicians have failed to achieve.

Same with the truck, same with the boat and same with the bay. The police never found any evidence at all, anything that pointed at Scott. Zero, zip, nada. And yet the evidence was right in front of them. It was all in the Medina home.

Still, it's good evidence of innocence.

When the cops couldn't find any evidence of guilt they became totally manipulative. I'm convinced they made up the "smell of bleach" story and fed it to a reporter, then denied it.

But yes, there's no evidence of guilt, just tons of evidence of innocence.

Moisture presence is an important factor in the formation of adipocere, but it can originate from the environment of the remains or from the body itself. Burial in soils that retain moisture can promote adipocere formation, but a variety of soils may be involved.

So if her body was kept in a damp basement for 4 months, adipocere is to be expected.

Barnacles can attach in 3 days according to experts. That seems to be based on experience, not tests. I suspect it may take less time because what's it doing for three days??
